I had an incident where I was trying to take a base from a sniper spot. I'd been spotted and was being mortared. A guy drove at me with a truck as a line of mortars landed in front of me creating a wall of explosions. The truck broke through the flames, scattering vehicle parts and skidded to a halt on it's chassis. The driver tumbled out and land on the grass in front of me. As he died he whispered, "For...King Min."
My appreciation for this game grows with every session I play.
Those moments when games surprise you are so amazing. I know open-world games can have a ton of those moments, but when they are executed just right, they are a thing of beauty.
I think that's Higgledy's story; something went a bit wrong in the formatting, probably.

I wondered what that looked like from your point of view. I quite enjoyed that little experiment.
Incidentally, I've unlocked the northern part of the island. Based on what you said on your mission progress, I think you're quite close now. I think only campaign missions count.
I've unlocked the North part also. We'll have to head up there :).

Since I had no other option, I shot at the driver and miraculously hit him in the head as well as killed the gunner directly behind him, earning me the trophy for killing two enemies with one sniper shot. The jeep veered off the road and crashed into a rock exploding into flames killing the passenger as well. I was so shocked I didn't even think to make sure it had been recorded on my PS4. Twas amazing.

"You are a poison, Ghale..." - Last words of a Royal Guard I gunned down after repelling an outpost invasion. I had never heard that line before and it was after I...
Beat the game and allowed Pagan to live. He extolled my self-determination and suggested that I kill both the leaders of the Golden Path and complete the journey both my mother and father set me on. He and I were not so different in the end. Pagan didn't really destroy Kyrat. My family did. I am the poison. As an aside, I killed the leaders of the Golden Path. They were weak and corrupt leaders.
Also, my favorite kit is the signature .45, the signature M4, the MG, and either of the silenced .50 sniper rifles. My fun kit though is the Desert Eagle, the ACE, the SPAS, and .700 nitro.
The best way to end it is to:
Let Min ride off into the sunset in his helicopter, and then just when he thinks he got away, shot it down with a rocket launcher.

I saw that ending on Youtube. You can hunt the corpse of your action down and get a cool reward it seems.
Fudge! I got to the last part with Min, paused the game to think about it and when I hit resume my gun auto fired and shot Min
I had to watch the other ending on youtube!
I did enjoy the game but feel a bit down (you could tell no one was the good guy here) about the ending. As far as side quests my game is 76% down but the only thing I think i will do after the end is capture the last fortress to check out that final gun.
I did not get to use many sidearms because i carried the grenade launcher as a sidearm the whole game. Just so useful for taking care of vehicles and stuff during, flying, driving or whenever.

I'm trying to stay away from the grenade launcher because I know I'd use it all the time if I was carrying it. That said, I have a short shotgun that will often kill everyone in a vehicle with one shot.
Friends, I apologize as I'm sure this has been asked somewhere on the 39 pages of this thread, but I'm thinking of getting MH4throughbthe e shop. If I eventually upgrade to the NEW 3ds with the numb, any problem transferring my save game and digital purchase of MH4!
Watching the "teach me monster hunter Jason" on Giant Bomb has me intrigued. N
Thanks!
Chad
There is more to the Yeti DLC than I thought. I may have to get it.

Wrong thread, Chad.
I BELIEVE you can do a system transfer like that with no problem. That said, my very first 3DS was the new Monster Hunter 4 Edition so I am in no position to answer your question definitively.
Dear Far Cry 4 Diary,
Today I watched an elephant kill almost everyone in one of those outpost thingies.
I then crept in and killed one guy with my bow. I got credit for stealth killing the whole thing,
even though 9/10 of the killing was done by a loud elephant.
You rock, Far Cry.
You freaking rock.
Your friend,
Roo

Yeah, the base defense mechanic looks interesting.
I think this line alone sold me on it. : "The Yeti seems upset by the traditional Kyrati greeting of shooting you in the face"

Yeah that Yeti DLC looks much more fun than the Durgesh Prison DLC. I feel like they thought it was going to be a lot better than it turned out. The time mechanic was certainly interesting, but ultimately way too punishing and just frustrating.
I had just slid down a crevasse to skin out a pack of dogs I picked off with the Vector. The animals died close together on top of a frozen river. I was half-way through my third animal when I heard a shrill howling. The sunlight began to shift over the top of the crevasse and I saw the unmistakable silhouette of nature's greatest mystery.
It was sam-squatch.
The beast looked down at me and roared. I considered all of the moments... choices... that had led me to this point. Here I was, facing one of the greatest treasures of our modern age. It, hellbent of rending me asunder. Me, awestruck at the power of evolution. This beast was legend.
He took one step.
AND I SHOT THAT MOTHERf*ckER UP AND DOWN WITH MY MG UNTIL THE BELT RAN DRY.
f*ck nature.
Oh, so Yeti baselines your character. You will want pick up "animal skin" boxes (icon on the minimap if you have it enabled is a flayed skin next to a diamond) and make sure you check your skill tree frequently.

Always happy to help with animal genocide.
Finally got around to playing this.. and my first reaction was "really another generic white guy saves a whole bunch of brown people game?" Didnt I do this in Far Cry 3?
Then a Rhino charged me and knocked me off a cliff.
To be fair, he's not a generic white guy. He's definitely American, though.
And nothing could be as bad as Jason Brody.

Ummm... Ajay is also Kyrati (American raised, yes, but Kyrati for at least the first few years of his life... and unlike Douche McDudebro from 3, his economic status is not shown to be ridiculously outside of the norm). His father was the original leader of the Golden Path and his mother was the... ummm... ok, I forget the term, but that teenage girl from the village whose like the reincarnation/avatar of Kyra or something.

Did they? I must have missed that... but yeah, seeing that opening 30 seconds really kind of put me off of the whole game. Add in some female sex enslavement in the first village that I was supposed to be HELPING and I pretty much put it down without a second thought while being sad as the game sounded like something I would enjoy. Then I bought 4 on a lark hearing that the story and world was much better and I'm glad I did.

I could have sworn seeing him in a reflection and he looked pretty white.. maybe I was wrong.

When Willis shows up he says Ajay will be better than "the SoCal d-bag" he had to babysit on his last job.
It's a nice little wink to let us know that they get it.

this is the main character concept art:
But this is from the beginning of the game when Pagan Min takes a selfie with you
From that, it'd be easy enough to assume Yet Another White Dude.
I had totally forgotten about the selfie and was looking entirely at the concept art for him and thinking of him in terms of the story beats... that does look pretty white in the camera... certainly more light-skinned than most of the Kyrati folks you run into... though I'm partially wondering how much of that is just the camera... I can't really say if you're darker than Pagan, or just... pinker (thus kind of implying White to his Hong Kong Chinese heritage). Weirdly, I feel like his hands and arms were much darker in skin tone when you're in the Arena.
For comparsion, picture of Ajay in Co-op (where the other person would be Hurk)...
(ok, not sure why THAT image got like 10x smaller, but... others...
(Him being next to Hurk, who is definitely white, makes it a bit more obvious that he's a little darker in skin tone... though this is confusing, as he should look decently darker than Pagan too, given the usual skin color we see of Kyrati folks versus Pagan, who should be very light skinned based on his background... confusing...)
Well from those images I was definitely wrong.. honestly I was only half paying attention to the intro and had the sound muted so I totally missed the whole parent thing and the reaction that the natives were giving him as the son of their founder (and me wrongly assuming he was white from that selfie picture) put me in that frame of mind.

Ohhhhhhh, I vaguely remember that but didn't realize that...
Willis was in both games, I guess? I just remember the line that Ajay was "useful on the outside" which actually reinforced in my head that he must be at least somewhat Asian looking.
God damn what a fantastic ending.

I shot him straight away. What did you do?
For those who haven't experienced the ending. It's best you know as little about it as possible and even then you might wonder what I was so impressed by :).
I will say that there aren't half as many story missions in the second area as I expected so you can get to the ending relatively quickly once there.
