Tamron, I think we're both showing remarkable restraint by not dropping the 'c' bomb in our game

So many Ts and Cs together, it's ridiculous!

I'm embarrassed to say what some of the words I've used in games were

"Restraint" and "Embarrassed" were not found in Tamron's Letterpress Dictionary

I'm just holding out trying to max out the less obvious ones first, monkey. Then use it as a c*** de gras... plans, right?

Sexpuss is not in the dictionary either? What gives?

Oh well, I just played 'sexing' against TheCounselor instead.

Can anyone recommend an irc app for the iPad? If it can run across the iPad and iPhone, all the better, but primary use at this stage will be the iPad.

I like the 'cleanliness' of the Messages interface if that helps with recommendations.

Free: IRC999

When you get tired of that, LimeChat is 4.99 and the best paid app. A lot of people like Colloquy too but it's not being supported anymore.

Thanks Clover

Dragon Island Blue was free yesterday and ate a huge chunk of my Sunday.

For those who play Outwitters: The update to the game also changes the spawn menu (and adds Veggienauts). It made me severely nauseous after about 30 seconds of being on it. It's been brought up on the official forums repeatedly.

I am playing Symphonica for a while now and I have to say that the musical parts are really great. The interwoven Japanese manga-style unskippable story parts are terrible though. The music choice is basically "best of classics" so it is really enjoyable.

Yeah the "story" is just awful :s

Once you've unlocked everything you can just play the songs at least, and that's allright, I even found a couple of classics I'd never heard or never really appreciated, great stuff.

I've tried Symphonica now thanks to you guys' recommendations and so far, it's one of my favorite soundtracks to a game ever. Where is Rock Band: Beethoven? But wow, normally I keep my iPad next to me while playing other games, like while waiting in lobbies or during loading screens. On Symphonica I guess I'll need to keep my iPhone next to me to do something while tap-tap-tapping away during whatever is going on in the plot parts that I refuse to read one word of.

Now I have to try it, just for that reason...

I simply cannot get enough of Hill Climb. Yes, the physics are crazy and all, but I just HAVE to keep playing one more run to get further than I did the last time!

When they fix that, I might re-install. The game needs...more. More of what I am not quite sure.

Firing it up again, I agree. I love the style, and concept, but it just falls short of that 'one-more-go' feeling.

I want to give up on Hero Academy, but every time I go in to close up any games I have running I just find myself enjoying the experience too much, and wanting more. I don't get that with Outwitters unfortunately.

Anyone wanting to dip into the unofficial GWJ irc pond, this app is free at the moment. Cross posting from that thread.

This one is kind of nice, and it keeps the chat window very well organised.

Plus it is free at the moment (usually $1.99) so it might be worth a look for those looking

https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/irc-...

I seem to be spamming the thread a bit, but at least you guys will have something to wake up to

I've been waiting for this one to drop for a while as I missed it last time.

AppShopper is pleased to alert you of a Wish List Price Drop ($4.99 -> $0.99) for the “ChuChu Rocket! HD” App.

AppShopper: http://appshopper.com/games/chuchu-r...

iTunes: http://appshopper.com/link/chuchu-ro...

Thanks, m0nk3yboy. I still appreciate all the spamming you do.

Monopoly HD is a dollar today. Bought, downloaded, and played half a game with my son. Good implementation.

Boy, I didn't get that with either game, and lord knows I've tried. I'm sure I'll reinstall both games and see where they're at, but I'm pretty suspicious of Robot Entertainment. I LOVEd OMD, but soured on AoE:O and Hero Academy. So I love their tower defense games, I guess, but not their strategy titles.

Does it deal with auctions correctly? I always hated (it's been years since I've
played) playing with folks who did funny things instead of following the auction rules.

It's actually very cool: at the beginning of the game you can set how you want the game to work, re auctions and Free Parking, etc. We did have one auction already in our game, and it worked well. Of course, I'm not sure yet how diabolical the AI is, but on Moderate it's perfectly serviceable for a light game.

Today, I beat the Organ Trail. My party was named after Avatar characters, only Aang and Toph survived, and Toph was bitten by a zombie and almost turned. But we made it!

Sorry, totally off topic but, I really like your new avatar Demyx! Perfect for your tag too

Haha, thank you.

I'm trying to fish for something to keep this post on topic but I haven't downloaded anything new in a while due to almost running out of space. On my 64G iPad. I have problems.

Star Traders RPG has made the jump to iOS from Android - Link.

I know m0nk3yboy did it earlier,

but if you are playing Marvel's card game and you want to use this referral code gnk334476, we both get a reward.

I like the game, its pretty interesting (especially once I figured out that I can change the main card)

First, does anyone know how to rollback my current version of Cut the Rope HD to last month's, before their last update? It DOES NOT WORK ON iPAD1.

Second, screw Chillingo! I'm not spending any money on them until they fix their Cut the Rope HD. I used to love playing it on iPAD1 but now it requires iOS6, which Apple won't let me install onto it.

If you're on a Mac, try looking at the Trash. You can often find the .ipa file from the previous version there. I'm not sure where it ends up on Windows, but probably somewhere similar.

Or you can go to your back-up if you have one (e.g., Time Machine) to restore the old .ipa file. You'll have to look up where there stored on your system, but I believe in the iTunes folder.

Also, that sucks.

I have read jailbreaking allows you to install previous versions of apps, but I have never done it.

That totally sucks that it doesn't work at all on iOS 5. That seems fishy, is it a bug they are fixing?

I don't get that... I know iTunes has some sort of switch that can be flipped so that you CAN'T download an update if your iOS isn't capable of handling it (my phone is on 5.01, and it give me an error message when I try to update my Carcassonne app).

Check the trash, as was suggested. OR, if this is enough to piss you off, jailbreak your device and use something like Installous to download a legacy version of your game. I'm not advocating piracy, but since you already bought it, I don't see why this wouldn't be justifiable.

It's not a new issue, I had the same issue with my 1st gen itouch. Apple doesn't care, they basically say to not update programs on older devices or you are SOL.

Reading the current update notes for Cut the Rope it says they are aware of the issue and working on it. Apparently, it also affects those in China, as well as iPad1 users.
