Pro Strategy Football 2013 is out, listed as an iPhone game. I'm not a football expert, but it's a decent way to learn more, and I'm enjoying it very much. It's a coaching simulator where you pick plays and formations.

Damn. I was hoping no one would say it was good, that way I wouldn't have to buy it...

How does this compare to the NFL Pro 2014?

I have no idea, Bennard, this is the first game of this type I've played. BTW, thanks for taking the hit on ARMA Tactics, I was about to buy it. But I'll stick with CM Touch instead...

I just pickd up Ravenmark since they dropped the price to $4.99. I'm really enjoying it so far! If you like turn based tactics games, it's definitely worth checking out the free version to see if it's for you.

The NFL game is free. I'll probably check it out myself. Just was wondering how they compared.

I'm leery of the big name sports games, myself, at least the US ones. Some of the European football managers are fun, although I don't have the patience for them anymore.

Well, Infinity Blade III is out at $7. Think I will wait for a sale.

Agree. Way too many $2 and $3 games out there right now. It will go down eventually.

I in the same boat. Especially since I got both 1 and 2 for free and still haven't gotten around to the second one!

I'm not waiting for a sale, but I never finished IB II so I'm not really itching for a new one. What's changed?

The world is supposedly more open and free roaming. You can read the review if you're interested.

Hmm I might need to work on finishing IB II

Just got an iPad 2 for DW. What are some good boardgame apps?

I've got Talisman and Magic: The Gathering 2014. I see Puerto Rico and some other Reiner games.

Appreciate any recommendations.

Small World, Ascension, Ticket To Ride

Agricola

This thread is great because that question comes up so frequently. Just flip back a few pages and you'll uncover some great lists. And check the iOS Gaming thread, too, similarly, since I and others intermingle the content.

Neuroshima Hex is a must-buy.

Is SpaceChem a board game, or a really good puzzle?

Neither? I think of it as a visual programming language.

Oh, it is, I was just wondering whether it fell within Top_Shelf's request.

Ah, context! I'm an idiot. It should then because it's fantastic.

Eclipse is my most played iPad board game app.

Is it as intimidating as the board game makes it look? I did get Agricola last week, and it took forever to get through the tutorial. Did a decent job explaining it I guess, but rather long-winded.

I would assume the Eclipse tutorial would be even longer, or else it would be more difficult to understand by just jumping in.

Looks like Ascension went free on the 16th. Was it always like that? Downloading now.

We've got a Small World 2 league starting up over at Qt3 if anyone is interested.

I think that's temporary

I've been having fun with Ascension. Are the expansion decks worth spending money on?

Get Revenge of the Fallen, it makes the first set worthwhile. That's a necessity.

But really, all the expansions are good.

For anyone interested, Pro Strategy Football got a 4/5 at Pocket Tactics.

Anyone heard of a date for the Transport Tycoon release?
