All right, Fed.
I leave games/apps on until I fill all of my pages. Once something gets deleted from my iphone, its chance of being reinstalled are pretty much zero. Every so often, I'll clear out the stuff I have no further interest in playing. Slightly less frequently, I'll clear the apps out of iTunes as well.
I delete games. You can reinstall games that you've previously bought from iTunes. I'm not sure what happens if you try to redownload them directly from the App Store to your iPhone.
It will just say that you already bought the game and asks whether you want to re-download it. You must first press the "Buy" button though, which is a bit stupid step on Apple's part.
Yeah, I've redownloaded previously bought apps a few times. Clicking that "buy" button always creeped me out because I sure as hell didn't want to pay for the app again.
Broken Sword (Director's Cut) is out for the iPhone at $6.99.

Good info, and I agree that it's a poor design.
I just finished Angry Birds after a few days. What a fun and crazy game, I'll probably go back and try to three-star the stages.
Jailbreak+Folders (Categories) = Decluttered games folders.. If it's not a space clearing issue.
Also, I picked up Hive and Ingenious based on Rabbit's vociferous pleading that people pay attention to quality boardgames and I'm digging on 'em.. Now I just need to break my Defender Chronicles habit to get some more free time in to play 'em.
Isn't their an app which watches for sales on things you want to buy? I want to get Broken Sword: Director's Cut but I wouldn't mind waiting until it was on sale. I know I will forget to check every week or something so I would love to find the app.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Pandora Box is what I use for that.
Never considered getting that "Battle Bears" on the iPhone but its free today (01/29/10) so might as well snag it.

Okay, that's awesome. No, seriously, download Battle Bears 1.5 right now. Because any game where you shoot stuffed animals is hilarious and the fact that a rainbow springs from the neck of the decapitated body just adds to the atmosphere. Battle Bears is fun, and 100% worth the price of admission. I totally would have spent a buck on this, and the fact that it's free today is icing on the cake.

OK, now that is an endorsement I can get behind.
Downloading now.
Got me too. Download in progress.
Is it filthy enabling if it's free?
Too late! I already downloaded it anyway! Take that, sense of restraint!
Any recommendations for kids games? My son - 3.5 yrs - likes to touch the screen and move things around so I think he would love something simple but there are roughly 200 billion games to look through of which 198 billion are crap so I wondered if anyone had a recommendation.
GTA: Chinatown Wars?
Seriously, though, there are all the games where you throw stuff. Those are simple and a lot of them are fun (I own a few of them). Games like Skee-Ball, Paper Toss, Ramp Champ are all good. Maybe Harbor Master? Music Pad is a fun toy as is iDaydream. I'll post others if I think of them.

There was one that's supposed to be like 2D Boom Blox. Something about birds?

Angry Birds? I haven't played Boom Blox, so I'm not sure if it is comparable or not. Quite fun though.

I know the Mrs. has a page of things she sometimes lets the 4yo daughter play. I'll try and get a list.
EDIT: Her short list:
Grover's Number Special
Animatch
iplay n learn
Martian
Doodle Buddy

My daughter's go-to iPhone game is Smiles. It's a match 3, but there's a mode where you have no time limit (and no punishment for mis-moving), so you can just try moving stuff around until something matches. That's how she started. Now she gets the concept and can actually play it 'correctly'.

I really hate that I can't listen to a podcast or my music while I play angry birds. I love the game but I hate the sound.
Games that don't let me listen to my playlist drives me nuts.

My kids are a little older, but they both like Bejeweled and Spongebob Tickler. And isn't Peggle the answer to everything?

Good lord! You're letting your children play Peggle? That's just irresponsible parenting! They'll be addicted for life!
I have a three year old niece that loves the Dora game.
Also, she likes playing the first level of Rolando over and over and over again.

I remembered another one they like -- reMovem .

I don't know what Spongebob Tickler is, but I'm worried.
