iPhone Games Catch-All

My favourite this week has been Scrabble. It only does multiplayer over wifi or pass and play, but I couldn't get it to connect to my wife's ipod. Probably something with my router.

So if any of you have been playing Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook, those bastards at PopCap have added Blitz to the Bejeweled 2 iPhone app. *And* it syncs stats with the FB leaderboard. *And* still registers you for the weekly prizes.

I was forced to purchase it.

For those who recall the original... The Sword of Fargoal is being released for the iPhone soon. It is supposedly a ground-up remake by members of the original team of developers. It includes reproductions of the original SID sounds from the C64!

Check it out at www.fargoal.com.

Instabuy on my list!

Okay, this isn't so much a game, but I've been addicted to the Looptastic apps lately. Do check them out. You can make little techno mixes of your own. Pretty awesome and actually fairly deep all things considered.

Yes, this is truly evil work.

I'm kind of addicted to it. It has caused me to miss my train station a number of times :/

Just on this, is there a specific way to get the multipliers dropping? This was confusing me a fair bit as it seems random, and thats annoying to me.

You have to trigger multiple chains off of one move.

I already owned the app, but didn't know about this. This will probably help me break my Creeps addiction. Blitz is the perfect game for the iPhone.

Ok, looking to get a tower defense game for the Iphone. Never played one before but I see a lot of recommendations for them. Is there a good one to start with?

I would recommend either GeoDefense or FieldRunners.

Field Runners is my favorite.

I'm a big fan of GeoDefense and (perhaps even moreso) GeoDefense Swarm.

My son and I both like 7 Cities.

Thats been my favorite thus far too. Seems like any of the top ones are good choices though.

7 Cities is very nice, so is Field Runners, but also Sentinel 1 an 2

Can you explain to me why I suck at it so much, then? I have it, and I like what I've played, but I've made over a dozen attempts now at level 2 on Normal and can't beat it. I've beaten every level in most other TD games I've played, so I don't think it's just newbism; what am I missing on this one? Any secrets, tips, hints? I am shamed by my lack of skill on this one.

Trak4 is free for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Go scoop it up.

I just looked it up, still 99 cents. Is it a regional sale? I'm in Canada, so it would make sense I suppose.

Are you upgrading? I've found it is better to upgrade a few things in very strategic locations than it is to place LOTS of things all over the place.

Thanks for the input. I picked up Fieldrunners today, and I'll go from there.

It took a little while to propogate through all the stores. It should be free by now.

GeoDefense and GeoDefense Swarm are much better than Fieldrunners, although Fieldrunners seems to be more popular.

I picked up Implode! and I am really having fun with it. I'd like to see them expand a bit more but it is fun to play as is. Blowing up buildings and watching them topple is pretty epic.

Agreed, though Fieldrunners is a good place to start and I think there is a fairly large update for it coming soon.

Personally The Creeps! is my favourite and a good choice if you want a fixed path tower defence game rather than one where you create your own path.

On a seperate note there are tons of games on sale at the moment for Black Friday. A fairly complete list is here:
http://toucharcade.com/2009/11/27/bl...

It includes things like Jule's Verne's Secrets Of The Mysterious Island (99c), Monopoly ($2.99), Red Alert ($6.99), Wolvenstein RPG ($1.99), Brothers In Arms (99c), Shrek Kart (99c), Terminator Salvation (99c), Metal Gear Solid Touch (99c), Silent Hill (99c), Beneath A Steel Sky (99c), Doom Resurrection ($2.99), Hive (99c), Rogue Touch (99c), Secret of Monkey Island ($3.99) and quite a few others.

I just want to give a shout out to Galcon, it is far and away the most played game I have.

Anybody have any good non-Rolando platformer recommendations?

Cool! I did the art for that game so I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. We've got a number of updates planned, so it will be expanded as they come out.

I picked up iblast moki. So far it is fantastic. The art style reminds me of world of goo. It's a physic based puzzler. The best part is how easy it is to experminet and reset the level. It has a level creator and I read it allows online level sharing. I think it was only $2.
