What MMOs are you playing right now? April 2014

Hey folks,

Just asking out of pure curiosity to see how my MMO madness lines up with everyone else's here.
1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now?

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)?

3. How many of those are free 2 play?

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them?

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now? 7

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)? 3

3. How many of those are free 2 play? all of them

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them? The Secret World. I keep telling myself I'll go back one day...

Heh... with cancelling my WoW sub, I think I'm at 0 MMO's regularly playing, but still have a good handful installed. I've been playing the Mass Effect games pretty heavy lately, and after that I want to get into a couple other non-MMO games that I've been putting off.

But, just looking at my MMO folder, I've got:

F2P:
1. LotRO - I take a look at this one occasionally, but find it hard to get back into it. I should delete a character and start over.
2. SWTOR - Should uninstall. Doubt I will ever really get into this, which I hate saying, because I love Jedi/Sith stuff.
3. STO - I load it up here and there, but it's been a few months.
4. Star Conflict - Installed, but not sure if I've actually loaded that one up yet.
5. Neverwinter - Should uninstall. Didn't catch my interest well enough.
6. Warframe - I like the concept, just didn't grab me.
7. Planetside 2 - Haven't been in an MMO shooter kick lately. Will play when the interest is there.
8. MechWarrior Online - Played a little, will get back to it later on.
9 Tribes Ascend - Spent some money on it, will get back into it when I want to play an MMO shooter.
10. Combat Arms - Should uninstall. Other games have spoiled me to the point that this game feels like crap.
11. Runes of Magic - Play every few months or so. I'd probably get more into this if I could find a decent social group to play along with. As it is, even though it's very solo-friendly, I don't stick to it long because I feel alone in it.
12. TF2 - Play every once in a while when I just want arcade-y shoot-em-up fun.
13. Firefall - Played it a little, moved on to other things. May uninstall.
14. WoW Cataclysm - Installed for private fun servers. Haven't logged on to any in a long time though.

Subscription:
1. WoW - May resub later on, but currently inactive due to hitting a hard wall at 90 and being forced into one of a few horrible grinds. I had a level 85 DK and a level 60 Shaman that I'd like to get to 90, but too much work stuff going on. Tossing down $15 to play maybe 1-4 nights out of a month is just not worth it to me, and that's about where I am with it.

I'm not hurting for storage, so for me I'll leave games on for a pretty long time, because I can easily delete a game, but re-installing any MMO is a pain in the ass.

tf2,tribes,warframe are FPSs. MWO isn't a mmo either.

Installed:

SWTOR (f2p)
Darkfall (last played > 3 months)
Pirates of the Burning Sea (f2p) (last played > 3 months)
ArcheAge (f2p)
The Elder Scrolls Online
Everquest Next:Landmark (f2p)
WildStar
WoW

Been cycling a couple weekends a month between EQN:L and WoW, and spending a lot of time lately with ESO,Wildstar,ArcheAge

edit:trimmed the list down to ones actually played in 2014

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now? 5

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)? 2 - But since I never was a big WoW player in the past it is more figuring out which one I want to get in to.

3. How many of those are free 2 play? 3

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them? None

I included them mostly because they have the same cash-shop style options, and they are online/multiplayer only. I treat them the same way, maybe I'm weird. About the only difference is the lack of a persistent world.

Which is one of the primary components to mmos Tomato Tomahto

Huh, let's see here...

1.) Installed:
Lord of the Rings Online
Guild Wars 2
World of Warcraft
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Fallen Earth

2.) I play LOTRO at least every other day, and have for quite some time. It's my number 1 MMO, and often my go-to game when I'm not sure what else to play. Guild Wars 2 is a close second in terms of play time, but I get saturated on that pretty quick and tend to need some long breaks afterwards. WoW and SWOTR I've mostly just dipped my toes in; I like what I see, but not enough to sub. And Fallen Earth is that one MMO that I really want to spend way more time with but always have something else to play.

3.) They're all F2p except GW2, which after an initial purchase requires no monthly sub. Part of why I like that game so much.

4.) Fallen Earth, as I mentioned, I keep installed on the hope that the mood will strike me to boot it up again.

Guess I should answer my own question:

1. Let's see: Just 5 installed: SWTOR, Secret World, Kingdoms of Amalaur, Champions Online, and Guild Wars 2. I'm itching to reinstall WoW again and I don't know why.

2. I'm a nut for Jedi stuff, so I play SWTOR at least every other day. Champions Online inexplicably once a week, and whenever I get a WoW kick I'll hit that for 2-3 days and then not play for a couple of weeks.

3. None of mine are truly free 2 play. I'm not paying any more for Amalaur, Secret World or Guild Wars 2, but I did purchase them.

4. Secret World and Guild Wars 2. I keep meaning to play them more and update them regularly, but I just never give them the full time to justify the hard drive space. Amalaur I just kind of feel sad for what happened to those folks an would kind of feel guilty uninstalling it.

I play GW2, WOW, and ESO. None of them Id say regularily but right now ESO has gotten its hooks into me and Im addicted.

Surely Kingdoms of Amalaur doesnt count as an MMO its completely singleplayer not even a co-op option. If that counts then Im saying Diablo 3 does lol.

Let's see now..

1. Installed - SWTOR, LOTRO, WoW, Eve (all subs)

2. Play regular - SWTOR, Eve, just resubbed to LOTRO but will play regular.

3. None. - I rarely do microtransactions, and don't mind paying the equivalent of 2 pints of beer a month for something which I play regularly.

4. LOTRO, SWTOR - been in both since beta, had breaks but always came back. Took me a while to delete City of Heroes once it had finished, I was in that all the way from beta to the end, was dancing about outside City Hall when the servers finally went down (sniffles).

I have installed WoW, GW, GW2.

I'm basically playing WoW only. All I really have time for these days.

My wife got me back into the WoW raiding grind in the past couple of months. Ever since they changed the raids to where you could play across realm, we now play 3-4 times a week.

I was thinking about trying ESO and maybe dipping my toe back into SW:TOR, but have too little time with WoW taking up a lot of my MMO time.

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now? One. Eve Online

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)? Play EO most everyday.

SW:TOR is the one that I am tempted to go back to the most.

Currently just playing WoW. Mostly doing a session or two of LFR a week around other games.

Would cheerfully go back to SW:TOR if they implemented a "pay $20 for a xp booster that meant you could just do the class storylines". Really like those, but no interest in redoing the other content again.

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now?

Hmm... WoW, Old Republic, ESO, Guild Wars 2 might be installed still... I see an icon down there for it but it's been ages since I've clicked on it. There are probably copies of LotRO, Neverwinter, and Star Trek Online hanging out on my Windows partition but I don't remember and am not going to reboot to check.

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)?

Right now, just WoW. That's more because I have friends there that I raid with, not because of the game itself. I'm waiting on activating ESO until I have some more free time.

3. How many of those are free 2 play?

None, though Old Republic might bring me back with the new story content.

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them?

I built this machine to edit video, so there's a crap-ton of hard drive space. Windows has a smaller drive, but that one used to be for raw footage so I'm nowhere near running out of space on it either. Laziness and lack of necessity means I've not really been faced with that choice in a while...

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now?
After a recent reformat and reinstall of windows I'm down to one at the moment. Wurm

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)?
None

3. How many of those are free 2 play?
One

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them?
Nope

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now?
EQ, EQ2, STO, EQL, Archeage (Russian), RIFT, ESO, Wildstar, TSW, Neverwinter, Defiance, Guildwars 2

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)?
EQ, RIFT, Archeage

3. How many of those are free 2 play?
10

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them?
I installed ESO but haven't bought it yet because I am enjoying RIFT instead. I used to have a bunch more installed (WoW, WAR, DDO, SWTOR, DAOC, LOTRO) but a new computer helped clean those out.

1. How many MMOs do you have installed on your PCs right now?
Age of Wushu, Aion, Allods, Anarchy Online, AoC, APB, Dawntide*, DDO, EQ, EQ2, Landmark, ESO, Eve, Fallen Earth, FFXIV, GW, GW2, LOTRO, Neverwinter, Rift, STO, SWTOR, TSW, WAR*, Wildstar, WoW, Wurm

2. How many of those do you play regularly (at least once a week)?
currently only ESO and GW2

3. How many of those are free 2 play?
Of those I'm currently playing, 1 if you count GW2. 21ish of the total, depending upon your definition of f2p

4. Do you have any MMOs installed that you never play, but for some reason can't bring yourself to uninstall them?
Most of them. I tend not to uninstall MMO's unless they personally offend me somehow, because I could possibly want to play them someday even though I never will. It looks like I even have some defunct games still installed like WAR and Dawntide. (*EDIT: just now uninstalled them :P)
In terms of what games I never play anymore but would like to, TSW and Fallen Earth.

1. Lotro & ESO
2. ESO
3. None
4. None. I am ruthless with uninstalling stuff. Plus I recently refreshed my gaming rig.
