A Randian elitist with racist tendencies who disbelieved in the utility of mathematics and regarded General Relativity as similar in utility to Phrenology... Not someone you necessarily want on your side, although in this case, he's correct in his assessment. But note that his problem here is not with people per se, but rather with Democracy. In that sense, he might well have gone along with Trump, perhaps as an exemplar of why autocratic Elitism is a better system.

Definitely Randian. Is there no end to the damage she and her followers did to us?

If it hadn't been Rand, it would have been someone else. Those ideas are so widespread that they might just be inherent in the way some people think.

Doesn't mean she or her nutbar followers deserve a pass. By any name...

And now I’m all sad again that he’s gone, and been gone for so long. Oh, the tweets he would have tweeted…

My son's (and most of his friends') first real computer experience was an iOS device, followed by the school-assigned Chromebook in Kindergarten.

I've gradually upgraded my criteria for 'knows how to use a computer' over time. It used to be 'has edited the registry in Windows to fix a problem' but is now 'has edited the registry in Windows to change something they didn't like about Windows'
