Post a quote, that could have just been text but instead for some stupid reason is an image, entertain me!

I have read that it's because after a bit, gases come out of solution, and it affects the perceived flavor.

Based on how fast my furniture seems to collect dust, only a few hours before I dump it and get a fresh cup.

My mother would come home after a long day teaching with stories like this. It was a high point in her week if she got one of these.

Hey, classics nerds, here's one just for you:

But wait, there's more!

The tailor replied "No." So the man took his pants to a tailor in France. Unfortunately, when he got them back they were Toulon and Toulouse.

It took three of us to decipher that as Aunt Bev. That A is not well-formed.

The Wot-a-Dog in my rural town was a childhood staple. Bought that shit by the gallon! Plus, FOOT LONG CHILI DOGS!

Admittedly, Culvers is pretty damn good too.

Yeah, but the right gets really mad if a woman chooses to be a male doctor.

Some of the JD jokes are sofa king funny...

Up here in Canada, A&W is as ubiquitous as Burger King and McDonalds. I had no idea how rare they were in the USA until I drove back up here from Grand Forks, ND with a Fraternity brother of mine. He started freaking out when we drove past an A&W near downtown Winnipeg: "You have an A&W here?!?"

"Dude, what do you mean 'an'? We drove past like 2 of them already and we'll pass at least two more before we get to my place. Why are you so excited?"

It was then that he explained to me how incredibly rare they are south of the border.

Heh, I just checked the map on awrestaurants.com and saw ~20 locations, all in the northeast US, and none in Canada. Then I put my thinking cap on and checked aw.ca and saw approximately a billion locations in Canada. How I envy you.

A&W in the US is a fully separate company from A&W Canada, and their menus are totally different. As a Canadian, you will be extremely disappointed in the poor quality garbage that is A&W in the US.

As a Canadian living in the US, the first thing I do whenever I'm back in Canada is go to A&W!

...Now I want a teen burger!

Is the draft root beer the same, at least? That’s literally the only thing I would go there for.

They changed it slightly a few years ago, but I think for the better. They stopped using high fructose corn syrup and went back to cane sugar. It is SO good!

A&W was an up and coming brand here, competing with Dairy Queen and similar sit-down fast food places, when they introduced a 1/3 pound burger. The story is that consumers in the US avoided it in droves because it was "smaller than a quarter pounder for the same price".

Turns out this story is true...

I loved the root beer and the burgers and fries were quite good. But our local one went away, so did the ones at the beach, and I only ever occasionally saw them in New England years later. I'm not sure the burger crashed the chain, but in the 80's, the whole "Where's the beef" attitude caused a lot of conflict and churn in the fast food marketplace.

Well 4 is bigger than 3, Robear. duh...

The ones cancel out, I learned that in math class.
