The Keys To Happiness - a Steam & Origin (and Desura!) key giveaway and trading thread

It just means we tend to exclude complete lurkers from key giveaways. As an intern, you're a proven non-lurker.

You must answer 3 questions and face death if you're wrong!....

Or just contribute to the community.

Going forward if anyone is giving away Dark Souls they should offer up this play footage of PVP.

The Swapper is a very good puzzle/story game. It's pretty brain-bending, and the story is remarkably good.

It's a little gem, and it's a shame it's not better-known than it is.

I’m a lurker who has also given away several keys... we aren’t all bad people.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt; however in the past, Grinders who pop into the key thread out of the blue have tended to be bots or folks looking to resell keys for profit. The policy decreases the likelihood of it happening. You really don't have to post that many times to get rid of grinder status.

We have nothing against lurkers, but think of the key giveaway posts that ask for non-grinders incentive to gain an achievement for participation! It's a game!

Anyway, someone wanting a key is best off PMing the key owner, else it might get missed.

I just wanted to know what that rule implied :D. I got my answer. Did not want to spam someone in pm when I was considered breaking the rule.

PWAlessi: thanks for Battle Academy

We did have a guy pop up a few months ago, messaged me wanting 3 games 12 minutes after joining the site. Told him why we have the policy, especially the part about not wanting them to just flip the keys on grey market sites, and to participate in the forums for a few weeks, and I'd hold those 3 keys for him.

15 days later, no posts, no participation on the forums from him, and I get another PM: "Dude, can I have my keys now?". Happy ending: he got fired for that.

I have a code for Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition, XBone and Win 10 that may or may not work. I don't know if my nephew claimed it when he lived here. If you'd like to try it, send me a PM. Grinders excluded.

I must confess that after 10 years being almost devoid of gaming. I started with a insta-buy of Dragon Age: Origings.. thinking I would like the whole shebang.

I didn't like it, and there went my first 20 euros. Bought Rebel Galaxy for a fiver, which I thoroughly enjoy,

Seem that my liking for certain games kind of changed after 10 years, and I have to search for easypeacey old fart games.... A bit afraid dipping my hard earned cash, I started out reading things about games I could like... so I started researching No Man's Sky... Still afraid to burn money...

I have been quite greedy on this give away thread, but mostly with old keys most people didn't care about. Gal Civ II, Prison Architect, even Civ V(!), Rollercoaster Tycoon II. It's a perfect way to learn how games have (or haven't changed) and what's to my liking. And I am still on the fence for No Man's Sky.

So a Big Thank YOU for all.

If any give-away-poster is some day in Sweden, he or she is welcome for a coffee! I will grind the beans personally L-)

PS. I told my misses I am still playing DA:O so she isn't mad about the 20 quid

Claimed.

No game, but for the creative minds:

Axis Game Factory Premium
Axis Game Factory's AGFPRO BattleMat Multi-Player DLC
Axis Game Factory's Zombie FPS Player DLC
Axis Game Factory's Fantasy Side-Scroller Player

Bought for my son, but he is learning to do it without programs like this at university.

Thanks to PWAlessi for Mushroom 11. It's a really cool concept with some interesting ramifications, but damn, it's hard in spots. Like, WAY hard.

Yup. I've been a big proponent of the game, because it's so unique. But damn if it doesn't do it's darndest to drive me away with difficulty, and occasional capriciousness.

Yeah, I got a ways further with it, and I love the mechanic, but loathe the level design. It's so difficult it's stupid. For instance, I'm stuck now on a level where you have to form yourself into a nearly perfect hollow rectangle, in less than five seconds, while you are on a conveyor belt.(!) You simply do not have enough control to do this properly. You can't choose where your new cells will show up, so forming into a specific shape is a long and slow process of removing everything that's not right, and then doing it again and again and again until it finally grows into about the shape you want.

You cannot do this in five seconds. And you can't do this in five seconds when you're still, much less just landed on a conveyor belt from a hook, in a totally random blob shape from the little bit that you cut off to fling over the gap to just barely make the conveyor.

I don't think even the author of the game will be able to consistently win that level. I assume he must have managed it at least once, but I don't think I'd place a bet on that.

I checked my old bundles and found several games that I probably have never claimed on Steam. A few might be claimed already, but it is worth a try, I suppose, if you like the title.

Please send me a PM when interested.

Both great, people should snag those.
Lumino city is a great puzzles game with a really neat aesthetic.
Va-11 hall-a is a neat story game with future retro look and you're mixing drinks.

I won a code that gives me keys for the following 3 games:

Sir, You are Being Hunted
12 is Better Than 6
Dead Effect

PM me if you want the code, no grinders please.
