Batman: Arkham Knight Catch-All

Game.co.uk put up a link too early, it seems.

UK retailer Game has listed Batman: Arkham Knight for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the item's description featuring details about the game and box art.

Batman: Arkham Knight is described as the "explosive finale" to the Arkham series in the (now removed, but spotted by VideoGamer) product listing, and says players will be able to drive the Batmobile around the streets of Gotham. The Batmobile.

You bastard

(Or perhaps, great minds think alike, considering the threads were made at EXACTLY the same time)

I'm just going to act like mine was first.

So am I.

We knew it this was in the works even if we didn't know any details about it, so I'm not really surprised. But hey, it's the first game I've seen that might make me consider a PS4, so I'm looking forward to more information.

Also, I'll bet you $5 right now that the main villain is, somehow, the Joker.

You are probably right. Though right now they are saying the main villain is Scarecrow. His representation in AA was spot on.

GameInformer has revealed that Arkham Knight is their April issue cover story.

As you've probably guessed from the cover imagery, the Batmobile is finally a core element of the gameplay. An entirely new area of Gotham City, far larger than Arkham City, has much wider streets to accommodate the new driving gameplay that is designed to integrate smoothly with Batman's gliding and grappling traversal. Batman chases down super villains Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, and more.

It was too much to expect gameplay footage, wasn't it?

Yes.

Want want want want want want.

Woo! PC confirmation in the announcement! No need for next-gen consoles yet!

I like the trailer, by why did they change all the character models? I really expected Harley and Two-Face and the Penguin to look like they did in the other two games. It was surprisingly jarring.

"WE feel like this is a natural end for this story." Interesting. Now I want to go replay Arkham City.

I'm just excited that this is coming out this year and it's not a "coming in 2015" type of thing.

As new PS4 owner - YES!!!

Looking forward to this. Not sold on the driving part but then again, they've hit every other part of the franchise they've touched out of the park!

I'd really like to see a more worthy role for Harvey than "tutorial thug."

Sold. I needed a reason to get the PS4, and now I have one. Can't wait to drive the batmobile. Also, they mention the size of Gotham city will be "far" larger than Arkham City, and that was pretty big. I hope we can still glide over the entire map.

They're going out with a bang for sure, which I guess means more of everything. Riddler trophies, badies, challenge maps, multi, and they might even throw a co-op mode in there, with Robin.

Definitely can't wait!!!!

First day buy because I can't get enough of being the motherf*ckin' Batman!

Don't forget that annoying boss fight with Catwoman at the end.

I believe they already mentioned no multiplayer, though I didn't read the article. Just the headline. But headlines are completely trustworthy, right?

Meh, Harvey does nothing for me. She is fine as a tutorial thug:) I can't wait either way!

That's exactly what I don't want. Arkham City had so much stuff in it that it felt over-packed and unfocused.

Good point. If it's focused, I can take more of everything. Lots n lots more.

That is a good point. But, counterpoint: Do forget it.

Harvey Two-Face, not Harley Quinn--I expect her to be representing Joker, assuming he's really dead, which I doubt.

I still need to get AO for the 360, or start it on Steam (BUT CHEEVS!). I may have to pick up an Xbone for this.

Why does Harley seem to get younger in each game?

For the boobs. Everything's for the boobs, man.

True, but for us unwashed masses, this is probably the game that requires the leap to next gen. For you overlords, this means you will spend about the same amount of money to get your system up to speed.

Watch the trailer.

I have to admit this was going through my head the entire time:

I havent played a single Batman game, but now I'm in the mood to play them all.

Yes.

Granted this is the teaser to get us all frothing at the mouth just as we are right now, but considering the box art is already slathered with a Harley Quinn pre-order bonus, it would have been nice to see just a tiny bit of gameplay.

I'm pretty excited for this, not least of all because it's next-gen only, which is always cool to start seeing happen. That said, I really hope it's not just a minor iteration on the same open world design the last couple games had (yes I know Origins wasn't Rocksteady) because, frankly, that ain't gonna cut it in my book.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.
