Competitive League of Legends discussion | Season 2015 Part 2, the East Coast Strikes Back

Woo! Great games between TSM and CLG

Spoiler:

CLG wins 2-1 (or maybe 2-0 and it just started really late). I only caught the last 2 games and it's nice to see CLG back to the older all teamfight strategies.

Double will #1 faceroll strat

That refers to the double will of the ancients strategy where you get 2 AP dps heroes (like ryze, kennen, rumble, swain) and get Will of the Ancients on both of them. That gives double the aura effect to the holder. Crazy strong in teamfights

Spoiler:

It was 2-0 CLG.

Spoiler:

Game 1 - I can't believe TSM lost after getting two kills at level one. Ryze triumphant again. CLGs whole comp had ridiculous CC, three champs with AoE CC. I liked how saint stole the Maokai pick from TheOddOne. Don't know why TheRainMan keeps playing Singed.

Game 2 - This game was really nice and close. Ryze finally banned but TSM still lost.

Hey guys you can drop the spoiler text after a game result has been spoilered once. Makes discussion easier.

The first game was pretty amusing where Hotshot was whining "It's over we'll never come back just remake now" for like 10 minutes

Anyway, loser bracket match v8 vs Dignitas going on here: http://www.twitch.tv/national_esl1
Winner of that plays Curse and then the winner of that plays TSM then winner of that plays CLG

Yeah, TSM not getting any ignite against such a heal heavy team was the biggest mistake they made I think. I also think it might have been a good idea for Regi to play Fizz, but I don't think he's practiced him and they might not have had enough damage for team fights then. Or they could've had Fizz and an AP carry top.

This main commentator is not, uh...not good. Just sounds stoned, with a dash of NyQuil thrown in for good measure. His comment for every situation is a couple seconds of silence, and then "Wow" repeated a couple times.

*edit* From reading Fedora's notes, it seems I'm talking about Colbycheeze or Dyrus.

Dyrus is the monotone sounding one. Colbycheeze is the other guy.

Yeah all of the NESL casters are... just terrible. Dyrus is a guest caster and while he's not that skilled at actually casting the games, at least he knows what he's talking about. Everytime I listen to ColbeCheeze try to give insight on the game I just facepalm.

You have to at least give them some respect though for devoting to casting so much. I couldn't stand listening to the Kara/Rambo combo yesterday but I give them props for casting for 10 hours straight.

TSM full herp derping today. Everyone playing terribly except maybe Xpecial. That Vlad, wow.

Spoiler:

Curse takes down TSM 2-0

Spoiler:

Regi and TRM arguing on TheOddOne's stream right now.

I noticed in the games today and yesterday Regi has been super passive about making calls in game.
The whole team is sort of just indecisive like nobody wants to tell the others what to do.

Boo, no Dyrus commentary for the final.

Edit: Oooh. OddOne, Dyrus, and Chaox drunk casting on OddOne's stream. http://solomid.net/livestream.php?s=74

These casters are so terrible. Dyrus at least said some insightful things even if it was in his monotone drawl. Rambo pretty much adds nothing and sounds like a 70 year old smoker to boot.

Aaaaaaaand own3d.tv goes down during the finals
Now I have to watch the lame ESL stream

edit: back up

Spoiler:

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT baron steal

Total utter luck, but it was sweet anyways.

I somehow managed to miss this in the live cast:

After hearing the Korean casters at WCG I would've loved their reaction to this.

This was pretty great too:

PLAYGUUUUUUU

The Doublelift double kill was unreal, especially against Cop who is no slouch.

Looks like Dyrus is going to be subbing for MandatoryCloud on Goose for IEM Kiev.

Big stuff going on today.
Absolutelegends has officially merged into Counter Logic Gaming.

http://clgaming.net/board/board25-an...

absolutelegends.eu is now clgaming.eu

It's pretty cool to see the NA and EU scenes coming together like this.

At the same time the lineup of the AbsoluteLegends EU team is changing.

AbsoluteLegends decided to change their lineup once more. [de] Lyumi and [be] wewillfailer leave the team and they will be replaced by [uk] Snoopeh and [de] yellowpete. These changes were necessary due to internal disagreements.

New Lineup of AbsoluteLegends
[dk] Mike "Wickd" Petersen
[dk] Henrik "Froggen" Hansen
[uk] Stephen "Snoopeh" Ellis
[be] Mitch "Krepo" Voorspoels
[de] Peter "yellowpete" Wüppen

He sounded like he was falling asleep constantly and Kararawr had very little content to actually add.

So they get one of the best tops (wickd), one of the best junglers (snoopeh did really well for SK) and one of the best ADs? That could be a very solid team to start with. I don't know what Froggen plays, but I've seen krepo faceroll on some AP champs.

I think Dyrus said on his stream today he's not subbing for Goose.

The best commentary I saw for NESL was OddOne's stream, where he, Chaox, and Dyrus were watching and talking, before Own3D had to shut them down (I think Twitch was mad their stream was being restreamed).

I like Dyrus, because he's got great insight, but his vocal stylings are non-existent. It grows on me, though, his stream is one of my favorites.

Froggen is their AP carry, Krepo will be playing support I think.

Yep, you're right.

A sign of the times: Rain Man not sure if a guy he's playing against is Chaox on a smurf account. The name of the account? Chaox's actual name.

Jatt steps down from Team Dignitas.
http://www.team-dignitas.net/article...

This is a pretty big deal as he was not only their jungler but also the main caller on the team.
I wonder if he'll still be playing at IEM Kiev for them next week.

Maybe Rain Man was drunk

CLG is hosting a tourney that's running today if you need something to tide you over until Kiev.
64 team bracket, there are a few invite teams and a whole lot of first come sign up teams.
http://clgaming.net/tournament/4-las...

Apparently matches will be casted by ColbeCheeze and TSM Chaox from the Ro16 on

Their tournament page is actually pretty nice if it's the same as the test run they did for it. The main hub stream has all game results in a feed and the match links on the bracket show picks/bans/results.

Also, an amusing start.
CLG is having to sub out doublelift because he is sleeping and he gave them the wrong phone number to wake him up.

OMG I wish Colby would shut up. He never stops talking and he doesn't know what he's talking about half the time.

Colby: Jarvan didn't get a chance to use his ult!
Chaox: It was on cooldown
Colby: He must have been stunned or something
