That's how you make a hype thread.

...

"You've got to be f*cking kidding me Asmo," cry the h8ers, "There's nothing you could say to convince me that Elementz is anything other than a sh*tty support." Oh yeah? What do you think you know about Elementz? Huh? About his true identity? About what makes him the best support that has ever and will ever exist?

Elementz is a time traveler.

yep. best thread ever.

Thresh is live for this week's LCS. Hopefully he won't get banned every game because I want to see some PLAYS.

I bet he gets banned a lot...like a hell of a lot. With all the talk about all the plays you can make with him, i would expect a lot of second pick teams to ban him.

Agreed. Mobility seems to be pretty highly valued in pro-level play -- whether it comes in the form of items (Homeguard, Shurelya's) or skills (Thresh lantern, Shen ult, TF ult, and so many more). The biggest drawback to Thresh when he was released seemed to be that people didn't know/remember to click his lantern, but that wouldn't be an issue with high-caliber coordinated teams.

This is so photoshopped Chauster looks like a Chinese action hero

That complexity intro video today was overwhelmingly adorable.

Wow these team fights

Spoiler:

cOL totally screws up and throws the first one and then execute the second perfectly, intense game

Talking about the matches in #gwj btw, INVADE.

edit: also mancloud is a god

And on a champ (Lux) where being a god means a crapload of damage REALLY fast.

GGU vs coL is the most bonkers game I've seen. I am having to actively stop myself from shouting.
IS THIS WHAT BEING A SPORTS FAN IS LIKE

Yeah, pretty much. That was a really fun game. I'm glad I stayed up.

Everybody who is watching the EU games tomorrow should jump in IRC for some good old fashion predictions, analysis, and discussion.

No, something is wrong with you. But we knew that already.

Fanatic channeled their inner Squee today and picked a solo lane Blitz.

Yeah, they played EG hard. Knowing they would pick Anivia if available.

Holy crow. I just got to watch the Dignitas vs. Complexity game from Week 4... that was embarrassingly one-sided.

High drama in the EU LCS this week with fan favorite and one of the critics' favorites to place first Team EG imploding and going a dismal 1-4. They lost to Gambit (formerly Moscow 5) which is not that surprising, but then they lost to inferior/underdog teams AAA, Dragon Borns, and finished up by getting absolutely steamrolled by a 2-7 GIANTS team.

EG is known for having a very stable, consistent lineup but they were just awful all weekend long. LCS goes on a two week break now so they have time to regroup. Perhaps they will come up with some new strats that don't involve getting to late game and teamfighting.

I blame Rob Zacny and his articles about them in PC Gamer this week.

They might have been better off had they actually just kept doing that!
I didn't watch all their games, but in at least two they played more aggressive early game comps that isn't their usual style, and just got outplayed by other teams who executed better.

If you're in need of a laugh, watch the Gambit vs. aAa game from Week 4. Support role too stronk!

I was catching up on some of the week 4 Euro LCS games. Fanatic vs. Wolves from 03/02 is an absolute must watch. It might be the best over match of LoL I've seen.

that was a joy to watch. Thanks Dyni.

Yeah, that was a superb match. Here's another fun one, from the IEM Hanover matches.

Spoiler:

By the end of the game, there's a very prominent discrepancy in kills but almost equal gold, and the winners come back from getting all their inhibitors knocked down.

If you get the time, watch the series between KT Rolster B and Gambit Gaming at MLG this weekend. Great matches, unconventional picks and some absurd teamfighting. The teamfight at Baron in game 3 at around 33 minutes is just bonkers.

Watching that and watching the NA LCS shows that NA hasn't caught up at all in quality. It's really night and day stuff.

Crazy news today, looks like Chaox is being fully replaced by WildTurtle as TSM's starting ADC.
Additionally it seems he's not being benched but being fully removed from the team.

Yeah, I just saw that. If you want some good insight as to why this happened, check out Gamespot's Gamecrib. Drama abound.

Surprised it didn't happen earlier. Reginald's insecurities don't allow room for any real conflict, and Chaox has always been pretty combative with Regi.

I like WildTurtle and think his style complements TSM better than Chaox's, but I don't think TSM will ever be a world class team again while the team revolves around Regi and while his play remains so inconsistent. They can routinely beat teams they are better than, but they just as routinely lose to teams that are their skill level or better. They're 1-3 versus dig and Curse this season and have never beaten a Korean team (I think they're something like 0-9).

I think CLG might be the next team on the drama stage. They're playing horribly right now and they have more gigantic egos than TSM does.

In other news, I had no clue there would be so many pros at PAX this year. I saw Voyboy but that was it. Riot's booth was packed and it didn't seem they were doing much other than crowd interaction and random games, so I didn't stick around long.

I'm a TSM fanboy from way back in the day when TheOddOne invented new OP junglers every month (nunu anyone?), and TheRainMan took dumps on kids as Cho'Gath. Chaox was my AD carry role model, and now, he's gone. Time for a new idol!

NOTE: I root for AD carrys the same way I root for ice hockey goaltenders. I want TSM to win, but I want all the ADCs to have great games.

I just want to see ADCs die terrible deaths in seconds and watch hilarious singed/teemo troll getaways.
