Conference Championship games:

Patriots @ Broncos, 3:00pm EST
49ers @ Seahawks, 6:30pm EST

Woot first post! Go Hawks and Broncos!

But leave it to the local Seattle paper to profile a bunch of self-righteous haters who can barely hide their disdain for all those knuckle dragging football fans. I especially love the woman who turned down free tix to the Niners-Hawks game to protest how teachers make only a fraction of Wilson's salary.

I get if you don't like sports - that used to be me and there are certainly sports like soccer that I could care less about. But IMHO a lot of the people in this story crossed into judgmental passive aggressive douche territory.

Wooo! I'll be at the Broncos/Pats game today. I'll take pics.

Go Niners. Beat the SeaChickens.

So, Brady and Manning just meet at the 50 to box for the Super Bowl title, right? I mean, they're clearly the only people playing.

I can't wait to hear Phil Simms more or less repeat that verbatim for about three hours.

did they try to find the most pretentious people in the city for that article?

go niners! Beat the cheatin chickens!

"The best team will win because weather is not a factor!"

Oh, Phil Simms. Don't go changin'.

Hoo boy. That story has all the hallmarks of a brainstorming session. Those are the kind of stories that make me want to call in sick.

Look I'm fine if the refs will allow that level of grabbing..but it better be consistent on both sides...

Brady looking a little shaky so far, has missed a couple open throws.

Manning throws a floating duck and somehow the Pats crappy secondary can't even get a hand on it.

Did anybody post this great Omaha article in the thread this week? If so I missed it. But reading it now between plays.

Fantastic pass rush by Robert Ayers. Made Solder look really bad there.

A lot of Manning's throws today have looked ... weak.

He has never thrown a particularly pretty pass. But these don't seem to have a whole lot of zip to 'em.

Game filled with shots of Brady missing throws to wide open receivers.

Phil Simms spends opening of 3rd quarter intro asking if the receivers can get open and help Brady out.

Of course.

That link reads like an Onion article! "Medical Student Has Better Things To Do Than Watch Jocks On TV"

And there's this one: http://kuow.org/post/kuow-host-bill-...

As Richard Sherman would say, these haters are failing at life.

Apparently the Pats have not played a good offense for the last month or so.

I think barring miracles that's the game.

Denver's going on incredibly long drives and just destroying the clock.

If NE gives them one more of those without getting a TD in between this game seems kinda over.

NO FUN ALLOWED!

WOO GO BRONCOS

Knighton moves pretty good for a dude that size. Yikes.

I know this isn't news, but a field goal there is worthless ... Simms you are a moron.

Jacksonville failed in utilizing him after Del Rio left. He's a top 10 interior lineman. Denver scored big time snapping him up in the offseason for relatively cheap, and with a two-year deal, so they still have him inexpensively next year.

Denver in the Super Bowl. Now, which stifling defense will step up to challenge them?

Let's go Niners!

Just called my friend who has been a Broncos fan as long as I've been a Niners fan, from when we were kids. We always said we'd go to the Super Bowl if we were facing each other. He seems to be wavering right now. Something to do with him being a CPA and tax season, blah blah... he better not leave me hanging if we win tonight.

I can't form complete sentences right now. WAAAAEEESAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Good first play.

A shame to not get 7 out of it, but still, good start.

No TD hurts, need to convert to win in that building.

I'm a CPA and it's on Feb 2. he can make it.

It's hard to score in the red zone in seattle. 3 is better than nothing and can add up. I would have loved 7. Do the Sea Chickens have the most obnoxious fans in football (outside of the east coast)?

3 and out!

C'mon man, I try not to be a douche.
