SimCity 5 Catch-All - Offline mode coming in next update

Originally, Cities XL had online play with trade between cities... for $15 a month.

Went back to Sim City after the patch came out, traffic seems a good bit better now. Even though the game has its problems its still absorbing & addictive. The map size's are a pain in the ass & considering no one ever joins a game I make so I can trade with other cities etc. With that being said is there any Sim City players that have a free spot on one of their games so I can actually get a feel for all the trading malarky

I know a couple of our regions on the NA West #1 server have open lots.

Update 1.8

Road Improvements
• Improvements to cases when connecting a new road to an existing road that goes over uneven terrain.
• Tuned some of the road snapping priorities to address some edge cases where it wasn’t behaving as desired
• Fixed a case where a new road would sometimes cause an existing road to change its shape drastically.
• Made Upgrade Roads mini-tutorial appear at appropriate time.
• Fix to four lane bridge to improve divider line placement.

Text Improvements
• Clarified alerts about residents not moving in because of high taxes to state if it is residents, commercial businesses, or Industry that won't move in because of high taxes.
• Improved text and icons on cities in region view.
• Updated text for "Become a Suburban City" mission to improve clarity.
• Updated requirements text for HazMat garage for clarity.

General
• Police station can no longer hold more prisoners than the capacity.
• Added missing roof texture for certain commercial building.
• Added completion moment cinematic for Great Works.
• Visiting police cars have avatar of neighbor above them.
• Arcology Population reflects the population of the Arcology, not the city.
• Fixed a clog in the pipes where sewage would sometimes get backed up and act jittery.
• Region Wall will pop up when a new chat message has been received.

Wow I was proud of my 120k population city bringing in 100k per month in trades!

Man, it took some hard times but I got my Tech city up and running with 3 processor factories, and two TV factories.

My city is losing 30k an hour but I am making 5 million a day in trade sales. I also have a lvl 4 Trade HQ, a lvl 3 Tech HQ, 3 ore mines and 2 smelting factories. Its a hodgepodge of specialization's but it all works!

You can select it, but the clock doesn't actually move faster than Llama speed.

Kind of annoying that it can still be selected but it doesn't work.

No, it's definitely working for me. There's a substantial difference.

Still no fix for the emergency vehicles all responding to the same event?

So, just after I take the bulldozer to my non-functional recycling plant (it's full of stuff, just not being recycled), I read that one possible cure is to turn it off and then turn it on a couple of hours (game time) later. If only I generated enough cash to afford another

As much as I have seen them all responding to the same fire, I've also witnessed them responding to different fires as well.

Well, I can't get Cheetah speed to work no matter which server I log in to. Couldn't get in to East 1 because it was full. Llama poop.

Prior to the patch in question, I never observed fire trucks in their multitudes. So I can't tell you how it worked before. Since the patch, I once watched two fire trucks, and they seemed to be chasing one fire together. Once it was extinguished and they moved on, one went to the next fire down the street, while the second drove past it, u-turned, then went to a fire further up the street.

So I built another one, and it was working well. But then it wouldn't send any of the plastics, alloys or metals anywhere, despite me having 3 trading centres which would accept them for export.

Anyone got any ideas, before I set the UFOs loose on it ?

Oh nos!
The turn it off/turn it on trick did not work for me when I tried it. The second thing I tried (thanks google!) was to add a second recycling plant while the stuck one is still running. It worked.

Here's a nugget response from one of the dev blogs:

When I think a little further I see that I have been thinking like a SimCity citizen when I bought the game. I logged on to the Internet and told my computer I want a game. It took me to the newest all Internet game, and I was happy for until my money was gone. Next time I want a new game, I will tell my computer that I want a game that works as expected.
