Steam Winter 2013 Sale is over... Back to the normal storefront.

Words cannot fully express my gratitude to ChaosKhan for the gift of both Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches. Dishonored was one of my very favorite games of the past few years, and it was only my pride and miserliness that kept me from buying the expansions at the listed prices. ChaosKhan has ensured that my playing them now will be that much more rewarding due to his generosity. Merry Christmas to you sir, and thank you.

Also: Thank you to Antichulius AND Feeank AND clever id for the triple-gift of Gnomoria! As there seem to be quite a number of copies ricocheting around -- Antichulius's was a gift-of-a-gift already! -- I'll make sure to drop them on some unsuspecting aspiring subterranean-overlord-in-training.

OK OK I'll put gnomoria on my list when I get home. You guys have done it much justice and now I need to try it.

That's part of why I like this thread. I learn about games I hadn't considered.

Is Total War Rome 2 worth it now? It's 50% off on the Flash sale, but I heard terrible things about it for months...

You can get an additional 20% off if you buy it at GMG and use the 20% off voucher. That's what I did. I just played through the tutorial campaign and didn't have too many issues. There were some issues with issuing orders and the units just sitting there and not following them. But, issuing the order again cleared it up. I'm not sure if it was a bug or just me issuing bad orders.

Super Hexagon won the community vote.... people went for the 30 cent discount instead of the 2.50 or 4 dollar discount. There is a part of me that is simply face palming at this.

Missing the forest though the trees, going for the pennies and missing the dollars... the fact that you should have that game already from previous humble bundle if you go for cheap things, and the game is only 3 dollars normally to boot...

Yup. Just got up and I'm absolutely floored that it won the vote. Not sure what to pick next...

Merry Christmas everyone.

Edit: And since I'm not exactly wide awake, I clicked on vote instead of the game itself to learn more about it and voted for Sacrifice. Whoops.

Pinball FX 2 tables are on the flash sale.... a few are showing up as 100% off, but I can't add to cart, anyone else?

Thanks for the heads up! Got the other 9 tables I was missing from the Humble Bundle for just over six bucks which means I've got plenty to play until the new table hits a sale as well.
Edit: (I had previously picked up the Ms Splosion man and one of the Star Wars packs when they hit a sale a few days ago.)

Those are the 2 tables I can't get! I thought it was just one of those temporary pricing things, but over an hour later, and they're still showing 100% off. And without a button to add to cart.

Anyone want to enable me on ARMA X?

If you haven't already, vote for The Raven! Here's RPS on Ep 1.

Pretty excited to pick up two adventure games this sale. I don't think I've played one since Gemini Rue. :O

Ok. Think I am done for the sale.

Got:
ThunderWolves
Mortal Kombat
Nether
Lego Marvel Heroes
Patrician 4

Now to put my computer back together and actually play something!

Whaaaat? It's barely halfway done. Don't be a quitter! Nobody likes a quitter.

I have spent all the monies!

You still have two kidneys! Hock one of those bad boys and get back in there!

While I was out at a family Christmas gathering, I was struck with a case of gnomes. Thanks, archangel!

Dammit! I just bought those free Star Wars tables!

29 cents saved, thank you Steam collective brain trust.

I'm becoming more convinced that Steam is rigging the vote. I just can't believe in this kind of consistent rampant insanity in every vote.

Big thank you to omnipherous for Gnomoria!! The only gnome I'll be playing with today is beardless though. ;)

I hope that is your son and not your husband!

You can't purchase them anyways. In fact, it was probably a good thing you bought those new star wars tables because I'm going to bet they will be only 50% after the flash sale (as in the 75% off it was previously was a mistake that no one caught).

Big thank you to Chaos Dragon Khan for the wonderful christmas surprize gift of Rogue Legacy

Merry Christmas everyone!

So I've heard this "Dishonored" is pretty good, any truth to the rumours? should I get the GOTY edition? is the additional content worth the additional 5$?

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

I'm finding it to be a stealth game where you don't automatically lose/die if you break stealth. You have all the tools to get through an entire mission without being seen, but if you are seen, you've also got the tools to murder EVERYONE who saw you, and move on to the next section.

This sounds oddly similar to how the original Deus Ex worked for me. No one lived to talk about how incompetent I am at sneaking around

You must be new to the Internet

Thanks to Vector for RPG Maker!

Big thanks to PXAbstraction, Hypatian, St. Hillary,Trueheart and WanderingTaoist for the gifts!

Holy crap, thank you Mateo for Trine 2! I've not played the first one yet, but I've owned it for awhile, so now is the time!

Merry Christmas all!

*stumbles out of bed after a Christmas Eve blender of dinner, after-party, whiskey and boardgames*

Sweet Baby Jesus! Did I miss out on the Gnomoria flash sale and Long Live the Queen didn't win the voting?

*Grumble grumble*

Wait! What's this thing?

Aww Thanks Tanstaafl!

Hehehe, thank you [GWJ] PRG013 for my very first copy of Super Hexagon!

So I picked up the first Witcher game due to peer pressure here :P

Love that game. I kind of got stuck at the end of Chapter 2, then got bitten by the Saints Row bug, then the Borderlands2 bug, and currently feeling the Battlefield 4 Fever. I really need to get back to Geralt...

haha yeah, same here :)

Chalk up another Chapter 2 casualty here! I too have intentions to return, as up until that point I was really enjoying the game.

Ditto here. Amazing how many people stopped playing at chapter 2!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I was going to gift Pinball FX and the DLC to a friend who doesn't have it. Is the base game free? As one who owns the game, it's not allowing me to add it to my cart, even to gift it.

EDIT: So it turns out that if you read those descriptions, you can learn things. Things like that the base game is free and comes with the Sorcerer's Lair table. Reading is hard. :/

Can't say I'm wholly surprised, there were a few similar surprises during the last sale.

Big thank you to Obirano for Gnomoria!! The only gnome I'll be playing with today is beardless though.

Edit: A million apologies to Obirano who hadn't been credited for the gift at first. As I was on my way out earlier, I had posted from my phone and obirano was autocorrected to omnipherous, surprisingly enough, and I only just noticed.
Anyhow, thank you Obirano, your solicitude (is that even a word?) is very, very much appreciated. *hug*

Welp, if Super Hexagon is only $0.30, why not buy a bunch of copies and turn it into this year's herpes Sparkle Ponies?

The clock's almost ticking over to midnight here, merry Christmas everyone! And happy holidays!

Happy Christmas!!

Indeed, as my husband has taken to growing a beard.

I already have it, since it was part of one of the bundles I'd bought. Have no idea what it's worth, though, it might actually be a good game.
