Trailer Catch All

Oh my, seems the original game is from 2009.
Should I try to play this? 15 years seems too old enough for some things, but I don't know if a 1st person shooter from 2009 should be called "a product of its time".

Borderlands 1 doesn’t hold up super well. There’s an ongoing story but it’s not really anything that’ll lose you if you skip some games. I think the most recent game, Borderlands 3, is an okay place to start but Borderlands 2 is generally considered the best of the series.

Story wise, mechanically 3 is a vast improvement

Anything has to be better than the physics from the pre-sequel.

I've been looking forward to the sequel(s?) of The Postman Dances with Wolves for decades.

So he quit the Yellowstone show to make something almost exactly like one of the Yellowstone prequel shows.

Can't think why

It looked pretty but it is really hard to not see this through the lens of genocide of the native Americans. He doesn't hit the rah-rah Americanism of a Michael Bay film but I think it still wants to paint the settlers as good hard working folks who just want a better life. And it isn't so much that they were not - most were - but their better life was stolen from the folks already living there and they didn't have much sympathy for them.

Anyway, off topic - it sure looked pretty.

Yeah, I'll probably cry during that one.

I thought for sure this got cancelled. Can’t wait!

J.Lo Titanfall?

Yet another movie that didn’t need a remake

It looks different enough beyond "dude comes back to avenge his gf" that I will look at it as a different movie sharing the same name.

Not sure how good it will be, but I support the use of Audioslave on the soundtrack.

Part 1 was savaged by critics, but I just can't help myself, I'm a stan for Zack Snyder! I don't care how dumb they are, I love the way he makes movies.

I liked (and still like) Snyder's earlier movies, but something has changed. He's lost the ability to create dramatic tension in his storytelling. Everything post BvS just feels flat and dull. I watched half of Rebel Moon Part 1 and just couldn't bring myself to keep going. And, Rebel Moon is basically a Warhammer 40k novel in all but licensed IP - it should have been my kind of thing.

Fallout - Exclusive Scene (2024) Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, Moisés Arias
