Yeah I'm there for it.

Looks fun but also caused me to do a "huh I thought that came out a couple of years ago." I guess because they delayed it due to Covid. Also strong The Mummy (the good one not the Tom Cruise one) vibes.

I mean the odds are against them: Pirates of the Caribbean arguably manged one good film out of five attempts. Haunted Mansion, Country Bears, Tomorrowland, and Mission to Mars... none of them were so hot.

I want Jungle Cruise to be good, but I'm just not feeling it. I'm more hopeful for Disney+'s Muppet Haunted Mansion or maybe The Society of Explorers and Adventurers series as the next good park-based story on film.

The first trailer had me where they just showed the characters. In the second trailer lost me when they showed the over-done CGI. Haven't watched this one yet.

Highlander with amnesia?
Anyways, colors me interested just because Chiwetel Ejiofor

America: The Motion Picture

This feels like someone at Netflix going, "Wait, people like 'Hamilton' on Disney+. Get me a fictionalized version of the founding of the United States by this time next year. Oh could you also make it look like it was made by white action film people in the 80s?"

I was wondering if they were going to put a Westworld name drop in there considering how people have felt about Westworld. The trailer even looks like an extended Westworld trailer.

First thought from glancing at the screenshot: "...wait, they just canceled The Venture Bros, is this some...no...the f*ck?"

Me too but a quick search had its release date as Sept 2020 and I couldn't find any information about release to streaming services - anyone know?

It hasn't been widely released yet, expected to this year though. I guess depending on how open theaters are, that could mean theaters before streaming.

I have to admit I am more into that because of Chiwetel Ojiafor than anyone else ;P

I didn't realize what they were doing with the music until it was obvious and I was laughing my ass off.

So bad it will be good or just bad?/
