The Cure - Anniversary 1978-2018 | Official Trailer

Stephen King decided to tap dance on his own pedestal first, so I feel like an adaptation of his Shining sequel was inevitable. I'm more curious to see if Doctor Sleep follows the story of the novel or the movie; Kubrick certainly took some liberties with King's original, but it's his version that's better-known.

I've tried to read the Shining on more than one occasion. From what I remember reading, I recall a rather "typical King" novel. So I really don't mind from that perspective.

I was focusing on the movie, which has been considered one of "Hollywoods best". It would be like making a sequel to Citizen Kane.

I'm not arguing we shouldn't, I was just thinking outloud how Hollywood is running out of sacred cows that remain untouched.

I followed you. It just seemed to me that since King wrote a sequel to The Shining a few years ago that a movie adaptation of that book was inevitable. They just needed to find a director with the guts to do it.

This looks delightfully ridiculous.

Can't believe that's not a red band trailer...

At first I wasn't so sure, but was snort laughing at my desk by the end.

The exceptionally nsfw version is a few pages back.

Jacob Tremblay from Room! Damn, he's tiny.

Well shoot, sorry, guess I missed that.

Another The Boys trailer, now with 100% more Spice Girls.

Can't wait.

Frank Grillo again, and looking awesome again.

The Good Liar

Charlie's Angels

Back when war was cool becuase good guys were good, bad guys were bad. No grey, no politics, just real men, pretty women, and patritoism!

Don't get me wrong I love John Wayne movies and a more upbeat war movie. It is very much in contrast to most recent war films that try to show the less glamorous side of death and carnage

Midway trailer

I remember when movies named after a specific event in history covered just that specific event in history. If they remade The Longest Day, they'd reenact the back half of Dunkirk to open the film.

"Hey remember how much money Pearl Harbor made? Why don't we remake that?"
"Naw that would never work."
"What if we made something just like it but featured a different battle?"
"Do it!"

Is this a remake of the 76 movie or something new? I've not watched it in probably 30 years or more...

It's probably to the previous Midway what Pearl Harbor was to Tora, Tora, Tora.

OMG those Midway cards are pretty horrible.

Oh come on. That looks like perfect popcorn and beer, "park brain at the door" fodder.

And nice eye candy. I might even see it in the theater.
“I’m the bad guy.”

Oh I’m fully onboard. I just thought the juxtaposition was interesting.

Oh yes. Yes indeed.
