Still have never seen it. Always meant to, never gotten around to it.

Surely you can't be serious!

Don't call me "Shirley". I KNOW of it, I know some of the moments, I've just never actually watched it all the way through. It's still on Netflix isn't it?

It's an entirely different kind of movie altogether.

It's an entirely different kind of movie.

So, Demosthenes, do you like gladiator movies?

Ha! I thought of one that's not on the Wikipedia list.

Ummmm... maybe? Outside of Gladiator, I can't say that I've really watched any (yeah yeah, I know, Spartacus, for shame, blah blah blah).

Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?

Have you ever seen a grown man naked?

Hey, I know you! You're Kareem Abdul Jabbar!

Looks like I picked the wrong Hump Day Survey to quit sniffing glue.

Happy Hump Day Survey! What game should be a television series and who would you cast?

Saints Row: The Series
Not sure whether I'd prefer it to take place before SR4 or after, and no idea about casting for the non-Keith David characters. Maybe they could have a different guest star play The Boss every few episodes or every season.

Edit- Pre SR4 would probably be better for a series with long arcs (the rise to fame between SR2 & SR3, and the road to the Presidency between SR3 & SR4), while post SR4 would lend itself better to more self-contained episodes what with them having a time machine and the Simulation.

Well, Game of Thrones has kind of taken the wind out of my Elder Scrolls idea, as I feel like it might just be seen as somewhat copying that...

So... I would say Assassin's Creed. I think that could work... maybe have like the beginning and end of each episode be real world subjects or Abstergo talking about those subjects while the majority of each episode is the actual timeline hopping and such.

Oh gawd that's a good idea.

Tough one. I was thinking Mass Effect, but that would be way too expensive for TV. Yvonne Strahovski would play Miranda, of course ;). Assassin's Creed would probably work very well, kind of like the Highlander series. But of course Assassin's Creed has no memorable characters so it doesn't really matter who you cast for it.

Will have to ponder this one :).

Zork. Tony Shalhoub is transported through a gateway to a strange world where he must successfully complete an unknown series of objectives in order to escape. Failure means starting over.

I love the sense of humor and adventure in those games.

Yeah, I'll third that. Bonus points if they manage to sneak in Nolan North as the boss.

THIS!!! This a million times!!!! I <3 Zork soooo much, I'd watch the living daylights out of that show.

Wing Commander with Freddie Prinze....wait. No. Do over.

I suppose Jared Leto would make a good emo Cloud. Perhaps Anne Hathaway as Tifa. Isla Fischer as Aerith. Idris Elba as Barret. I like Hugo Weaving as Vincent but I don't think he's got the height.

I also think we'd get up to the Bee cross-dressing section and suddenly hear outcry and cancellation.

Left 4 Dead.

Hatoful Boyfriend.

All the pictures of Ellen Page and you went with what looks like an emotional and sad selfie? For shame.

While I like this idea, as the opening cinematic for L4D was awesome and I'd like to see more of those characters... it's basically the walking dead, and I think the show would likely never escape that shadow.

The game that keeps coming to mind (other than Disgaea, but omg that'd be bad) is Valkyria Chronicles. I rather liked the main characters and the game was filled with interesting side characters. Tanks, guns, uniforms, racism ... what isn't there to love? I think it would translate well.

I'd love to see a TV Series based on Red Dead Redemption. There are so few westerns out there nowadays, especially in the TV world.

Good lord not again...

EDIT: To explain - my 6yo son has those on DVD and loves them. After a small amount of initial nostalgia had worn off, I began to loathe them as much as I loathe Dora the Explorer.

I was just thinking that!!!

How about Timothy Olyphant as John Marston?

Still have not played this... should really get around to it sometime.

Didn't think a glamour shot would be a good example for a character with zombie blood and guts all over her.

I think where an L4D movie would succeed even with TWD out there is it's pace. While TWD is a drama series, a L4D 2-hour movie would be a semi-fast paced action flick focusing on the characters rush through one of the "campaigns" while being attacked by zombie hordes. Throw in some of the specials and it would definitely be a fresh take on the zombie genre. It's also fertile ground for a tetralogy.

Movie 1: the Mercy Hospital campaign. The survivors are thrown together by circumstance and, hearing of an evacuation point at the top of the hospital, make their way through Fairfield to reach it. On the way they learn the virus is causing mutations (spitter, boomer, etc.). The movie ends with them reaching the helicopter pad at the top of the hospital. As the helicopter flies away, the last shot is of a bloody set of teeth marks on the pilots' leg.

The subsequent movies would be based on additional campaigns with the last movie ending with the boat escape to the Florida Keys.

Olyphant would be great. Could also see Mads Mikkelsen as Marston. Ultimately I think I would have to go with Josh Brolin.
