Happy Hump Day Survey!

I missed last week and these need to be shared

This one was for me!

If we're not restricting it to video games and include all sorts of Arcade games...

... there is only one King of the Midway.

And I have God on my side.

May not be the best game, but I had a lot of fun playing this back in the day...

And Wink. I'm right there with you guys.
Nightcrawler was my guy.

There's a great X-Men cabinet at Ground Kontrol. I recently listened to a Pixelated Audio podcast on history and music of that game which was quite good.

True that! On the rare occasion that I'm in an arcade over the last decade or so, it's guaranteed that I'll play skeeball and the rapid-fire basketball game.

As for pinball, there wasn't that much around where I grew up in the 80s and early 90s, but I enjoyed Earthshaker a lot.

The one I probably spent the most time playing:

Another fun one.

Whenever I was at an arcade this is the game that called my name:

These remind me of late nights in pizza parlors and bars after lots of beer...

Spoiler:

I'm drinking right now.

I never actually played it myself due to how expensive it was for its time, but I enjoyed watching other people waste their money play it, because it looked so cool.

Alongside some great mentions already made, I'll add

Not the best game, but this combo ruled the QT (Quick Trip) back in the day.

You could play Journey anyway you want it anytime because everyone was waiting to play Dragon's Layer.

I also spent a lot of coin on this game.

What is your favorite arcade game? For clarification, we're talking about arcade cabinets/machines that you would find in an arcade/Dave & Busters/etc.

My parents wouldn't let us go to arcades.

Oh no! You poor thing!

What was their reason--the evil game machines will rot your brain or something?

I don't think so, because we still had computers at home and a bunch of games on them. I guess they just wanted to get on with the shopping (I'm mostly thinking of the arcade at the mall) and thought it would be a waste of time and money.
I'm not scarred for life or anything.

I think I need to take myself over to the Museum of Play again sometime, since they have playable pinball and arcade games.

I was never very good at pinball, but I sunk an awful lot of quarters into the Addams Family machine in the student center. Also Xenophobe and one I'll remember if I see it, but can't remember the name for the life of me -- basically a puzzle/territory game. There was a rectangular grid on the screen, and you took turns with the computer opponent to capture territory Othello-style.

The pool tables were more fun, though.

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

What are the best movie scenes involving a crazy person/perceived crazy person/person on drugs?

I know I usually post a Disney scene but this was the first thing that came to mind. This show was so stupid but still makes me laugh.

It's like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain!
