I've already got a 4 pack of the base tier, so 3 people interested in parting with $11.25 send me a PM. Post stating that so I don't get a bunch of messages, thanks.

Is this the game from the Terraria guys? I looked around that site and couldn't tell, although the graphics looks similar.

Not really, the lead is one half of the Terreria team, the graphic designer.

Space exploration game where you discover and explore procedurally generated planets for $15? I'm in.

All things received and sent, thanks guys!

Hm debating whether to get it now or wait til it's fully complete as not to spoil anything...

I preordered via Cyrax but I don't think I'll check out the beta. I want to experience it fresh. Same way I feel about Don't Starve pretty much.

For me it just depends on how far along they are. I'll use their roadmap and beta details to decide for myself.

Yeah, I pre-ordered because I am really excited about this project. I felt that Terreria was really good but was missing too much to be great. I hope this game does really well. But I probably won't play until they are father along.

I wonder why they did not use kickstarter? Worried about the cut they take maybe?

It was going to happen anyway, it's just a matter of speed and resources. Yeah, keeping all of the profits is a nice touch.

Enabled! Sounds like exactly the type of game I love.

Looks cool...enabled

I wonder how civil things are between the designers of this game and the old lead of Terraria who's seems to be chipping away at that again? It seems odd for half the Terraria team to split off and make a very similar game again, this time IN SPACE! without the other guy.

Not that any of that really matters, I'll still be grabbing this at some stage.

Things seem very civil (without prior knowledge of the community). The lead on Terraria stopped development for family reasons, so I can't imagine he's anything but supportive of his friend.

If y'all pre-order this, make sure to snag the soundtrack. It's HUGE (500+ MB in 60+ tracks) and so far quite lovely.

Exploration is great and all, but I want to be able kill things too. I can kill things in this, right?

Any 4-pack slots still available? I'd be willing to go in for a spot. (Sure, the $3.75 difference isn't much, but given the number of games I buy, it adds up.)

Of course. This is a video game, after all.

Edit: This development roadmap should answer some questions you might have. It's very detailed.

Quality video going over Starbound, with tons of gameplay I didn't know existed.

Gosh dang, this is starting to look succulent.

Yeah, totally stoked for this. I've pre-ordered a copy for my wife and myself. Beta soon!

Oh wow, this is the first I've heard of this, but it looks fantastic. Wondering if I should put some money down given that I usually have no stomach for early beta. Late beta would be cool though.

Spoiler:

Oh, who am I kidding: backed it!

Ayup, I'm really excited too! But I'm going to avoid the beta and get into it fresh
