Heroes of the Storm Catch-All

I stopped playing for about 6 weeks, played some other things, then when I came back the meta had changed so much it felt like I was learning the game all over again. It's really a game that if I'm playing it, it has to be all I'm playing, and there's too much other stuff out at the moment.

I like Artanis. I'm actually on a Kael'thas streak as I almost have him to lvl 10.

I can recommend a few prescription meds if you need some help with that...

More seriously, I played some last night. I took a few weeks off because I live near Kansas City. And, you know, baseball.

I'm pretty active, I do seem to have a different schedule from you though tempest.

I recently got master nazeebo, he looks sick. He's becoming my new specialist of choice. My zagara is L14 and got me my ranking essentially but she suffers on certain maps and against certain team comps so trying to master another specialist.

If you start posting in the CoD thread i'll start posting in here

Haha. I understand taking a break from this game. I am sure to be playing less next week due to Fallout but I am going to at least try to do my dailies.

I have really grown to like Sonya. She is getting very popular in today's meta, but I need to be careful not to get so blood thirsty and dive in too far.

I usually play during the day since I am with my infant son at nights so yean, my schedule is weird. Wish I could play with more Goodjers.

Well a bunch of our wishes looks like it is coming true.

Blizzard hiring for WC3, SC, & Diablo makeover. I would think the HOTS engine makes the most sense for the RTS games (if they are really getting a visual bump).

Combat hacking to improve multiplayer.

Nazeebo has always been my favorite character to play. How are you training him as you level up? The last patch has had me train into more of a spider talents with the changes to gibdin and sprint removal?

There. Fixed that for you.

I kid, I kid. I've got Fallout 4 on pre-order as well...

I'm a strong fan of frog talents at 7 and 13. I take spider talent at 4 and 16 no matter what. If they have a dive comp (think aggressive melee heavy) it's pretty good against them, think of it as a shotgun. If I'm fighting a bunch of long range ppl then I'll get gidbinn and thing of the deep. I've also dabbled with ice block at 13. I default on ravenous spirit unless they have a lot of stuns.

So... that Cho'Gall.

Yeah. Crazy stuff. I've been out of HotS for a while, but I'd really like to try Cho'Gall. Gotta find a friend to play with, so they can get him from me.

Wicked cool idea for a hero and really has me interested in giving it a try. For those of you who want to check in on the blizzcon announcements here is the reddit megathread for day 1.

Here is the official blizzard announcement.

Announcement video

tldr:
New heroes:
* Tracer announced as a hero.
* Chogall announced -- innovative 2 player control scheme. To get the hero you have to play with someone who already has the hero. Virtual ticket and blizzcon attendees will "seed" the hero into the game.
* Graymane, a werewolf/rifleman hero, introduced.
* Lunara, a dryad character, introduced.

New maps:
* An ARAM (All random all mid) style game mode is coming called the Arena.

* Towers of Doom -- vie for control over a village to win the map. Heroes don't directly attack the cores, instead all damage comes from objectives.

Ah ARAM. Yay.

Wow, so they're basically doing the old two headed ogre World of Warcraft April Fool's joke for real in Heroes of the Storm? That's awesome, haha!

So...who bought a virtual ticket?

I did. I'll gladly play Cho'Gall with folks once he's out.

Sigh...fell asleep after the delays upon delays. Didn't get to the see the games today.

I'd be down to try out Cho when he comes out.

Ditto. I'm really curious how the control mechanic is going to work.

This semi-final match of the world championship is so bonkers.

Starts at 50 minutes in.

Hero League 101

A good read for anyone looking to raise their game in HL or QM.

Kind of a necro, but thanks for the link . Not that I'm playing ranked, but that's a great list of things to think about.

I have a code for the Raynor Commander skin. I don't play this game and don't care to.
If you want the code, PM me. No grinders, please.

Claimed.

The DK in Team DK stands for Dota Kings. It's kind of funny seeing them with a team in another game under the same name.

I turned on watchespn on Saturday to watch some football and saw this on their listings. I started watching just after the start of cloud9's semifinals. I watched the first match and said "wow, they're pretty good." Then I watched the draft for the second match. I couldn't look away. It was crazy how excited everyone got when they picked Murky. Once they won that, I was pretty sure they were gonna to steamroll the finals.

Personally, watching C9 ban Tyrael in every game made me want to play as him. I was about to buy him, but look who just showed up on this week's hero rotation.

I really wanted to try him as well. I'm so used to playing long range heroes that it feels very strange just entering into the fray. Luckily I had a Morales with me, she helped me stay alive quite a lot. But I really had no idea what the talent selection ought to be. But it was fun. His ultimates don't seem particularly impressive.

yes, Yes, YES! (it is quickly turning out that I won't play anything other than a Blizzard game anymore and I don't play WoW, Hearthstone, HOTS, or SC2)

I also popped in to say that Cho'gall is IMO the key to bridging the gap between newbs and veterans in PVP in general, not just mobas or HOTS. PVP games need more collaborative heroes, vehicles, mounts, turrets such that it provides a benefit to the veteran to have a newb tag along with them, makes it simple and rewarding for the veteran to protect the newb or keep them from biting off more than they can chew, and is exciting and fun for the newb and makes them feel useful. (is impactfull not a word, really?)

It is, you just spelled it with one too many 'L'.

Either way I spell it, it is underlined in red... impactfull, impactful
I looked it up and apparently some dictionaries do not like it
