Video Game Deals Catch-All

Looking at the Steam reviews, it sounds like it has a lot of problems on PC. So maybe it's not worth it even at that price?

Drat sometimes its too good to be true. Oh well I'm sure that $1.24 will be better spent on overpriced fast food or half a potato chip

Or you know, drop the buck and see if you can extract any joy from this hot mess of a game.

A tangent but relates to a deal I got off Amazon.

Hi, I got Mario + Rabbids Sparks of hope gold edition today, so I have a code to get the season pass.
However the code doesn't work, when I enter it in the e-shop it says that an error occurred with the code "2813-0071".
I've tried to restart my Switch, change the region of my console, but it didn't work. The cartridge is labeled Eur so I tried switching to European countries.

Widespread problem according to Google.

Any advice? Please bump to appropriate thread if too much a tangent.

Thank you,
Chad

Fallout 2 (GOG version) free on Prime Gaming.

It's a redeemable code. So I've already got it. If anybody needs a code PM.

Also free at Epic: Astro Duel 2

Also some game called SCARF that is free on Prime Gaming

Let me know when I can get a Series X toaster, the graphical resolution on that bread looks terrible.

You really can't beat the value of spending $10 a month on Bread Pass.

Yeah, that toast looks grainy.

After the 360 history with heat, you have to admit that's pretty gutsy.

I could understand the fridge.

It's the Best Deal in Baking.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is on sale on Steam in the US (at least) for just under US$10.

So weirdness, EA decided to release a bunch of older games on steam that weren't there before. All for fairly cheap. Full list below. Probable will pickup The Saboteur and Alpha Centauri. I love those two.

Edit: And now steam is breaking.
Second Edit: Got I forgot how fun Saboteur is. It's got such an Indiana Jones punching Nazi camp thing going.

Dungeon Keeper Gold™
Command & Conquer Red Alert™ 2 and Yuri’s Revenge™
Command & Conquer™ Generals Zero Hour
Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ and Firestorm™
Command & Conquer Renegade™
Command & Conquer™ Generals
Dungeon Keeper™ 2
Command & Conquer Red Alert™, Counterstrike™ and The Aftermath™
Sim City 3000™ Unlimited
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack
Command & Conquer™ and The Covert Operations™
Populous™ II: Trials of the Olympian Gods
The Saboteur™
Populous™: The Beginning
Populous™

The giant Command & Conquer bundle actually discounts for already-owned titles, which is common on Steam for mid-level and smaller publishers, but is so often disabled for bundles by the mega-publishers. So that was nice to see.

Alpha Centauri is the must-buy for me here. Excited for an easier way to run it on Linux/Deck.

Nice. Got C&C, the Dungeon Keepers, and Alpha Centauri.
Will I ever play them? Maybe not. But felt like rewarding EA for not being their absolute worst for once.
Speaking of which, more C&C remasters please.

Does the steam version of Alpha Centauri screw up the colors on multiple monitor setups? I have it on gog but that version screws my monitors up while playing so I can't do other things while playing.

Dragon's Dogma on sale for $4.79:

Just gave it a quick test. Seemed fine on my other monitor. Although I only just launched the game and did a quick start.

Thanks, I guess I can risk the $2.

It's amazing that if one just waits long enough, they can get a classic video game for less than the cost of a meal.

Or be like me and buy the same game three times.

Is it Dungeon Keeper, Baron?

I only bought dungeon keeper twice.

WB Games is delisting all 20-some games under the Adult Swim label as a tax write off, because of course they are. The games will no longer be available for sale very soon, and it is not yet known if they will be removed from digital libraries or only delisted from stores.

One developer’s reaction to this was to release their game Small Radios Big Televisions on their web site:

https://fire-face.com/games/SRBT_201...

NOTE: this is the developer’s site, but that zip file is not visible on any page I could find, so caveat downloadtor. I have not personally verified the file.

Steam Spring sale so head over and see if everything on your wish list is on sale (mine is)

I've been ignoring Steam sales for years, but, well, this new Steam Deck has me a little more interested than I was a few weeks ago.

Epic Spring Sale too.

2 free games this week:
Deus Ex - Mankind Divided
The Bridge
(repeat)

Don't forget, sometimes the best sales aren't on Steam, but are reactions to Steam at other stores. Look at the sale tracking sites.
