Cryptark free to own on steam, ends Saturday.
Did you use their new game Gunhead is like a FPS version of Cryptarch? There’s a demo. I’m trying it right now and so far it’s pretty good.
PC Game Pass currently has a feature where I can give a free 14-day trial to up to five friends. So, if there's a PC Game Pass Game you've been interested in, and you can finish it in a couple of weeks, let me know and I'll hook you up.

I got three of these to spare if anyone want one as well.
When do they expire? I can't possibly start anything until Spider-Man 2 and Mario Wonder are done. But there's probably something I'd like to play in Nov.
Not sure. I know when I get the code it's valid for a month from when I asked for it. It never mentions when the program will end overall.

Not sure if you are on the GWJ Discord server but on my personal server I have a channel for free games. You can use PatchBot (patchbot.io) to setup news to be posted to channels. I have notifications for PoE, Diablo, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, video driver updates, and free games.
I am not part of the GWJ discord but maybe the powers that be can set that up. Either that or you could setup your own server for notifications and have the bot ping you. For games it checks Epic, GoG, and Steam.
Golden Light free at Epic, but it's a repeat.
Next week: 2 games.
Rage 2 free on Amazon Prime. Pretty fun shooter.
Epic has free Earthlock and Surviving the Aftermath
Twitch/Amazon Prime has free QUBE, KOTOR 1, and Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery
Prime also has Invincible: Adam Eve which I had my wish list.
For the 25th anniversary, the definitive version of Half Life is free to keep on steam. Lots of updates and changes to modernize the game.
FYI: I tried to grab Half-Life by clicking on the front page ad and got a "no licenses" error. "Add to Library" on the store page worked.
God of War Ragnarök is $30 on Amazon for the PS4 version, which still gets the free PS5 upgrade, if you have a disc PS5 obviously.
GOG is giving away Styx: Shards of Darkness for a few hours.
Too many to list here, but check DekuDeals for Switch games on sale.
DK Country, Mario Rabbids 2, Persona 5 R, etc... there are dozens of games at "lowest price ever" sale already. And a bunch more matching previous lows.
Guess most of these sales go through Monday and for the digital ones they won't sell out. But physical ones you may want to go ahead and order before Black Friday.
Epic has free Earthlock and Surviving the Aftermath
Man, Surviving the Aftermath is really good, it really hooked me up. It feels a bit like Dwarf Fortress in a way, after some sort of catastrophe you arrive to a location with a tiny group of survivors and begin settling a colony. Music is really nice, a bit of a western flare, art is gorgeous, I've had so much fun with it I now feel bad about picking it up for free.
Looks like Epic has a 33% off coupon good for a week. Same as usual, a game $14.99 or more. You do have to go in and "claim" it, they don't automatically stick it in your account now.
And some pretty good sales going until Nov 28, 11am eastern.
Steam Autumn sale is live.
So what are some hidden gems in the steam sale?
Currently I have these in my cartUntamed Tactics
Wildermyth
Yakuza like a dragon
Persona 4 golden
I am thinking about
Avernum 2: Crystal Souls
Kena bridge of spirits
Xenonauts 2
Hero's Adventure: Road to Passion
Anyone want to enable or disable me on those?
Only played Kena Bridge of Spirits from that list. And really loved that game. It's a Zelda lite (pre-BOTW). Has some quirkiness but the world is amazing and it looks fantastic. Think the main complaints were about the combat but I didn't have problems with it. Played back when it was originally released so may have been some updates to whatever concerns people had.
I think I'm doing this sale wrong. I got Lords of the Fallen 2014: GOTY edition for $3.50 and Redfall for $14.87 on GMG. Both games are not supposed to be very good. But loved Lords of the Fallen 2023 so wanted to check out the original. And Redfall, well it's an Arkane game and eventually knew I'd have to check it out even if it's terrible. Was hoping for $10 price point but $15 is close enough.
Did play a bit of it and it looks great but seems super easy.
I picked up Grim Dawn in the sale. Was kinda hoping for a sale on Elden Ring or Armored Core VI, but it was not to be. Maybe during the Christmas sale.
Yakuza like a dragon
Fantastic game, huge, grindy, but wonderful.
Picked up Dave the Diver for just over ten UK-bucks from GMG, but for the first time in a while, I'm not actively on the lookout for new games.. even just scoring them off the wishlist. How times have changed.
So what are some hidden gems in the steam sale?
I still use Augmented Steam on my browser, which checks isThereAnyDeal and tells you historical and current low prices. Can use it on your wishlist, not just on individual store pages.
About half the time something is cheaper on Fanatical or GMG than it is on Steam and you still get the same game with Steam key over there.
Generally don't buy anything unless it's a historical low.
EDIT: For instance Ni No Kuni 2 is $9.59 on Steam. $8.09 on Fanatical. $8.25 on GMG. Both places you can get 5% coupons or XP coupons, respectively, and discount this or your next purchase even more.
Deathloop is $11.99 on Steam. $10.20 on GMG. $10.49 on Fanatical.

Not sure why you aren't seeing the price history on the actual game store pages with Augmented Steam. I get them there. But there are a gazillion options.
----------------------
If you plan to buy a bunch of games from Steam, Sam's Club has the Steam gift cards 5% off to get a bit more discount. I bought enough to get my Steam Deck a few months ago just to sweeten the deal. They do limit you to like 2 a month per card, so I had to get some on my wife's card to get to the $400's I needed
----------------------
Fanatical has some really good pick your games bundles. Since getting my Steam Deck I've gotten a few things there for really good prices. And then if you buy something, you get a 5% coupon for your next purchase.
I said not just on store pages. Find it easier to check them all on the wishlist at once.
Steam is a great place to play games. But it's rarely the best place to buy them the last 3 or 4 years.
