Video Game Deals Catch-All

Am I reading the Prime gaming site correctly? It appears Diablo IV is going to be given away to Prime subscribers soon. Really surprised they got such a big game that is so new.

It has to be skins.

Agreed, it will be some cosmetic garbage.

It's all good though because Baldurs Gate 2 Enhanced is coming soon on Prime and I can't wait.

You can tell because the game giveaways on Prime say 'Prime Free Game' on the prime badge, the rest just say 'Prime'

I just picked up Dave the Diver on Steam it is finally out of beta so version 1.0 gets a small sale

$17.99

Oh sweet, now I can restart my Dave game from the beginning. Super charming game.

Looks like Steam summer sale is here. Phone pinged me about wishlist items on sale and pretty much everything is on sale now.

Ohhhhh.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is down from £70 to 40!

Think I'll rustle up the gil for that one.

Yup. Everything on my wishlist - some 70 games. Now I need to decide if I really want them or not. I haven't found anything that is "lowest price ever" so I am not sure what I will get but it is always fun to look over the list and see

First time I've seen Elden Ring on sale, but maybe I just didn't notice over Christmas or something.

Wargame Design Studios is in the middle of their annual Summer Sale, so all except the 3(?) games released this year are 20% off (meaning the majority are at $30). Great stuff if you are into trad board wargames on PC.

I want to say I've seen it at a modest 10-15% discount once or twice, but not 30%, which is what it's currently at.

I think it's time for an Elden Ring double dip, both for having it on Steam Deck and to check out the seamless co-op mode.

Beholder 2 is free on gog.

Elden Ring is Fanatical's star deal, 39% off at the moment.

I saw Ascension is on sale for $3 in the Steam sale and it has 9 expansions too. An older but very good card game and has 9 expansion packs. I remember I played this a ton on iPad when it first came out. If anyone is looking for a fun quick play card strategy game, I recommend it and at only $3 why not?

I've played it since launch and it still holds up. Depends what expansions you want to use.

It's a horse and some skins. Its live on their site now. (its one of the bundles that sells for 800 fakaroony coins.

Just divide by 100, that's the base price.

When I start looking at the in-game shop that way, the madness of their pricing is super obvious. $28 for a single outfit?

I thought Ubisoft's prices for Assassin's Creed gear were ridiculous.

Yeah, and I mean, who cares? You want Fashion Wars, go play Guild Wars 2 where you can put together millions of different looks.... And people can see them clearly and show theirs off too...

My favorite ARPG, Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor, is on a flash sale on Fanatical, for $7.24 for the base game.

You can then get the rest of the DLC cheaply on Steam.

Yeah, it's just cosmetics. But I do like to play dress-up sometimes, really only for my own benefit. I just can't rationalize spending $28 on an armor set to make my Diablo barbarian a pretty princess.

I did buy a few sets for some Assassin's Creed games. In Valhalla individual sets ran about $8. Even that seems high to me. But if I really like the look, then it's worth it to me. The things that cost more are collections including weapons, a mount, a bird, sometimes a special tattoo, and sometimes an extra recolored set of armor. Those go for $20 or more. When the cosmetics approach a third of the price of the full game, my brain puts on the brakes.

Fortunately nearly all of the $28 Diablo 4 outfits look mostly ridiculous to me.

I don't begrudge anyone the desire to strut their stuff in fancy armor. Fortunately for me, some of the regular armor sets that you can get from drops in Diablo 4 have great looks.

Looks like I missed that sale, but it's on sale on Steam for both Martyr and Prophecy along with a lot of the DLCs (not Sororitas class) from what I can tell for about US$16. Seems like a good deal? Thoughts for someone who missed out on this ARPG somehow?

I am having fun with it. Only made two characters so far. An assassin and a sister of battle.

It is a fun ARPG and one of the rare ones that is a scifi futuristic theme instead of fantasy. To me definitely worth the $16.

It's back on sale in Fanatical's encore, for £5.49/whatever US equivalent.

hope you didn't already pick it up.

Oh that's cool! I hope y'all are able to snag it at this price, then get the rest of the DLC pretty cheaply on Steam once you redeem the key.

What's the most fun class to play?
