Video Game Deals Catch-All

There are what feels like a dozen versions of that game. I have two. Or three.

Edit: And I'm on a new page, so no one knows what I am talking about. Is there enough new content to make it worth upgrading to the latest, uber version?

Halo Master Chief Collection is $15.99 on Steam which is where it's been a few times before, IIRC. I'm not a Halo guy, but this seems appealing. For those who know, is it a good deal?

6 single player games for $16 is a pretty good deal to me. Not to mention all the multiplayer features built in. If you've ever been interested in trying the series, and think you'll give it a try right away (not 4 months from now when it'll likely already be on sale again), you may as well give it a try.

Solid deal. Don't do what I did and try to play them all back-to-back, you'll realise how similar they all are

There's a pretty big jump in quality from Halo 1 to 2, but 3 starts to feel like more of the same. I'm sure they were all great if you had the years of waiting/anticipation between releases, though!

Divinity Original Sin 2 is at its lowest price ever on Steam.

Not sure I need another 100 hour RPG on the pile... but I hear good things.

Eshop is having a pretty big sale on stuff in the US.

No first-party sales though, unless I overlooked them. I wouldn't mind snagging a digital copy of BotW for Switch (I've only played it on WiiU) to play through it again in the months leading up to BotW2.

Nothing else like it

Just pull the trigger!

Not that I need another game, however, $3.99 for Mad Max on Steam was too good to pass by.

At that price I can give it a try. It's supported on Steam Deck as well.

And some other places. Walmart has Metroid Dread for $10 off, lowest price yet.

Might go cheaper Black Friday. Might not

Epic:
Spirit of the North
The Captain

Next week: Ark
Gloomhaven

Looks like Sony is having a sale on both Steam and Epic. Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, etc. on sale.

Thanks Stele. I always forget to check Epic.

Those both look unusual but interesting so I yoinked ‘em

.

Nice. I was close to buying the Captain for $20 on Steam last month. Free is good!

I will actually give The Captain a try. It looks like Space Quest.

I think I got it free, but it was worth full price. EXCELLENT game, played it all the way to completion. I'd love a sequel.

It definitely has that vibe.

Flashout 3D: Enhanced Edition is Free via GOG..

Epic:
Ark
Gloomhaven

Arc is a repeat but if you missed it, have fun.

Next week:
Runbow
Drone Racing League

My GotY (spoilers for gwj GotY thread) Wildermyth is on sale again on Steam

Can't say enough good things about it. And there are a lot of fun cosmetic, and other, mods which are easiest by far to install in Steam workshop. So I'd recommend getting the game there too.

Ark has a bunch of the DLC free also.

There's the entire Halo collection on Games Pass if memory serves. Never played any of the games though.

I steadfastly avoid long rpgs now. That means Divinity 2 and the latest Pathfinder game are off limits.

Those are Free Maps anyway, rather than temporarily free because of the base game being free. Not saying don't add them to cart etc anyway, but just adding for clarity

Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children is finally down to a new lowest price on Steam, at $14.99, until next Monday

Have passed up the last couple of sales but think maybe I have time now.

Holy...how did I miss this?

I can't I just can't. I'll wishlist it but I just can't.

It's really good. $15 is a steal.

There is also so much content. I bought it a few months back and feel like I just dabbled in it and I have played for 20 hours.

Yeah I just did the tutorial and prologue missions last night but I love the feel of it so far. Didn't even get to my company yet, but I want to play more. And the art is beautiful.

I know there are posts about it. Was it in the JRPG thread or somewhere else?

I think it was in the "Xcom games that aren't stupidly hard" thread. I wishlisted the game after reading all the love for it there, but... holy crap, I wish I had more hours in the day.

Looks like multiple long posts in the Games That Don’t Have a Thread Catch-All for Troubleshooters.

I think I might combine or link them into a proper thread. Got a feeling this game is going to consume the rest of my year.
