Video Game Deals Catch-All

Neoverse is solid. It suffers, as most deck builders do, of not being as good as Slay the Spire.

But at that price, it gets a thumbs up from me.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the art style but there's a decent deckbuilding game there.

Talking of Slay the Spire there's a recent free fan-made expansion that has a full release on Steam. Well worth picking up if you want more StS - Downfall - A Slay the Spire Fan Expansion

Description: A FREE complete expansion for Slay the Spire, made by the modding community. Features one brand new normal character, plus a new game mode with SEVEN fully complete new characters starring in a twisted campaign, and so much more.

Neoverse Trinity Edition is $6 on the eshop. Haven't played it but it was hanging out on my wishlist after I seen a review of it a year ago. It's a deck building game. Not sure how it compares to the other big deck builders out. It has anime style women if that is your thing. Seems to have lots of butt shots also. How many butt shots does Slay the Spire have? I think we can all agree butt shots are the most important thing in a deck builder. What about that other deck builder game inception or insertion or something like that. I heard that game catfishes you. I actually don't know what catfish even means but I think it tries to hide the butts until you least expect it. Like it pretends to be one type of game but turns out to be something else even better. hmmm maybe just play magic the gathering. Do they still make those games? Probably not on sell and I don't recall any butts in those games. Why do people even like those games. You tape lands but you can't tap that butt. Sometimes I think I shouldn't be drinking and posting. This Arbarmist wine is cheap and good though.

It is okay. There is way too much random effects and noise on screen. It also burns through battery quickly

The new DLC for Solasta came out today. I am only 15 minutes in and I like the new non linear campaign already.
Every part of the game except the new DLC is on sale for 10-15% off. The new DLC is only $12.99 which is a steal for a new non linear ~15 hour campaign. (plus the new sub classes and additions to dungeon maker)

The GWJ conference call spoke highly of it I believe if you need more enabling. It should definitely wet your appetite for Baldur's Gate 3's release later this year.

And I will hype Solasta again. They really exploit the mechanics from the base game. There experience really shows even less than an hour into the new campaign.

The new barbarian and its new "claw" subclass are going to be amazing. You get a breath attack and damage added to your attacks based on your draconic heritage!

I am also loving the haunted sorc.

Free on Epic this week: Insurmountable & XCOM® 2

Free on Epic next week: Amnesia: Rebirth & Riverbond

Iris and the Giant is free on gog for the next 42 hours. There is a banner on the front page for the game.

Insurmountable is one I meant to try when it came out. It's interesting, like a choose-your-own-adventure along with an interesting strategic movement, almost board game feeling game about climbing a mountain. It's tense but not action oriented, and not combat oriented.

Well worth a try.

Your description just sold me on a game I never would have even glanced at otherwise. Thanks!

Fanatical has the Chaos Gate reboot on sale for 15% off ( $38 and change)
It is looking really good so I picked it up. They are comparing it to Xcom 2 meets WH40K.

Well I hope it's better than 40k: Mechanicus which I just rolled credits on this morning and is a solid 5/10.

Did you try WH40K Battle Sector? I LOVED that game!
I also can't wait for the DLC for that game to come out

edit: also, at least you finished Mechanicus. Mehcanicus is probably my favorite faction and I bounced off that after 30-40 minutes
There were some good things like the Space Hulk style "dungeon" map...

edit2: Oh sh*t, Battlesector DLC launches tomorrow!!!

I poked at Battlesector a bit before the Strat Game Club picked Mechanicus and I put Battlesector aside to play it. Thanks for the reminder to get back to it!

You know, modern gaming is an endless series of moments where I hear the idea or name of games and assume this time, finally, somebody is joking, only to inevitably realize the game is real.

I had no idea this was a game, but I instantly purchased it just now. This is such a dreamy idea for a game, I love it before I've ever even played it.

It's a sci-fi fishing game with procedural lake generation via a jump mechanic. It's great!

So glad to hear it, hope you enjoy it!

THIS DOES NOT NOTABLY LOWER MY LEVEL OF CONFUSION.

What's to be confused about? In some future time, a way has been devised to jump instantly between both known and unknown lakes, which you'll need to do to solve the game's central mystery.

Pretty sure Hearthstone one is a free legendary and ends Apr 26 (I think)

The wonderful Cozy Grove is 50% off and just launched its first DLC expansion.

I missed posting on Thursday...

Oh Koei Tecmo is selling Blue Reflection at a reasonable price on Steam instead of 60 freedom eagles.

Nioh is also lowest price ever on PC. Some other decent sales.

Careful. if you have been doing Epic freebies, you probably already have Nioh in your library.

Let me take this moment to plug Playnite again to collect all your PC games in one place to check before spending money on something. Also loving the individual play session tracking (in addition to overall playtime including import), duplicate game from multiple sources combining, and achievement tracking add-ons.

Seconded on Playnite, it's fantastic.

I've liked GoG Galaxy for that.

Stele wrote:

In almost all aspects it is equally as good, except time tracking / importing previous play time and maybe a few other things that I always forget about until I try it again. Library support is still weird with the way they do it and I had issues as recently as October. GoG has a friends list integration, though. I would recommend either, and say to look at both to figure out which suits you best. Obviously, I prefer Playnite, though.

Dead Space 2 free on twitch prime. I hear there is a remaster or remake in the works.
