Video Game Deals Catch-All

Thinking of grabbing Mechwarrior 5 for $30. Has it improved since its release? I heard that your AI partners were pretty much useless.

There was a fairly significant patch shortly after release, and then a couple of follow-ups focused on mod support. The unmodded game still has a lot of rough spots.

I've probably put close to 50 hours into it. If it had the polish of HBS Battletech I'd still be playing it.

Amazon is doing the same but for 45. So the NE is nice for a $5 break

Pathfinder: Kingmaker price went back up on Steam, but it is now $16 on fanatical.com.

DLC is on sale too.

Epic Games Spring 2020 Sale for the next two weeks. Don't forget about that $10 coupon (off $15 minimum, some restrictions apply) from the winter sale you probably still have, which expires on May 1.

I've been avoiding buying Control because of the rumors of it eventually coming to Game Pass but I decided the combination of 35% off and my $10 coupon I was ready to stop waiting and put my money up. I want to play it on PC with RTX instead of Xbox anyways and the new DLSS 2.0 support they just added looks amazing.

So now when it gets announced for Game Pass almost immediately after I've spent my money you're all welcome....

Its well worth it, I just finished it. I do not have a robust PC(GeForce 1050Ti), played most of it in it, but last week I realized it was added to the games on GeForce NOW, so having subscribed for 3 free months(no commitment) to GeForce founder's edition, I was able to continue my save and finished the main story with RTX, and I am tempted to start it again the way it was meant to be played(RTX on).
Enjoy the ride, really good game.

Oooh, the deluxe version is on sale for PS4. Now I'm really conflicted.
Anyone able to compare PS4 vs PC?

Digital Foundry and others have made YouTube videos comparing console and PC versions. The PS4 Pro and Xbone X versions both look very nice. The base models less so but not in a way that’s going to prevent you from enjoying the game.

For the most part the compelling reason to play on PC (when you have both options) comes down to whether you care about RTX and have the hardware for it (20XX nvidia cards are the only options today but AMD’s upcoming RDNA2 cards can as well).

Im trying to get into this on a 2080 Ti and honestly not impressed with the graphics so far. I keep thinking I have a bug since I keep hearing it looks amazing.

The cooler looking stuff I’ve seen in videos does not happen at the start of the game. That being said it’s not the most beautiful game I’ve seen but it is one of the best uses of RTX I’ve played.

Unclear if it is free now until April 8 or only playable for free until April 8.
Either way, very cool.

lol. No Hawaii. I've been playing a bit with GeForce Now since my computer died and it works great, so I don't know what Stadia's problem is.

Well, you live in Hawaii, let people in Alaska have at least something!

Just Cause 4 is next week! And some game I've never heard of but might be fun, Wheels of Aurelia.

Hey! The first game I bought on Epic was Close to the Sun!

You can buy games on Epic? I have just been getting the free games.

I hear tell that they even have a sale going on.

Greenman Gaming started its spring sale. Borderlands is %56 off if you haven't grabbed that already. Can't believe they are selling the season pass for $50. (not paying anywhere near that much for it, especially in lieu of the "no new classes" mandate)

Yeah, you can buy them, but you can only do it one game at a time.

Yeah, you can buy them, but you can only do it one game at a time.

Also worth noting is if you either purchased a game or claimed a free game during Encore Week (over the xmas holidays) you will have received an Epic Coupon in your account for $10 off games costing $14.99 or more in the Epic Store.

Worth checking your account as they will expire on May 1 2020.

Yeah I posted this last page about the Epic sale highlights:

Do I finally get Rebel Galaxy Outlaw for $12? Or do I wait and get it on Switch where I know I can actually get time to play it more?

EDIT: It does count $14.99 games. So bang for buck, new or still full price games on best discount:

Far Cry 5 at 75% off, 14.99
Vampyr 70% off at 14.99
Borderlands 3 50% off at 29.99
Metro Exodus 50% to 19.99
Ass Creed Odyssey 67% off to 19.79
Ass Creed Origins 75% to 14.99
Watch Dogs 2 70% off to 17.99

Any strong recommendations from those?

The consensus seemed to be AC: Odyssey best of those newish or big discount games.

Guys, my favorite racing game, Bloody Rally Show, is on sale at a historic low. GET IT!
