I endorse the refurb Carcharias headsets. Have really enjoyed mine. Not sure if that's version 1 or 2. I have the first version, and I suspect that one is the same.

Nintendo has permanently dropped the price of Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Wii Sports Resort to $30 each. First-party Nintendo stuff doesn't drop in price often.

And yet Gamestop still lists the (currently unavailable) new copies of SMG2 at $49.99, and used at $34.99. Amazon lists it at $53 (albeit from a third party seller), and Walmart... well they don't even have a listing for it at all. Sigh.

It's a drop in MSRP, and those usually take a few days to reflect at retail.

4 hrs remaining on the Humble paradox bundle. Minimum $1 for 6 games, $5.80 to get Crusader Kings II + Magicka (expires: 2PM, EDT)

Question: Is Crusader Kings II something that would play on an Ivy Bridge ULV HD4000 laptop? Always looking for games that might work on that when I travel.

From what I have seen on the Paradox boards, it will work. The start menu will be choppy but in-game it should run OK by turning all the graphical candy off (trees, shadows, etc. none of which are actually needed to play). However, some people still complain about lag, so while it seems it will work, if you are sensitive to lag, you might not enjoy playing on that box. I think there is a demo for CK2, maybe try that out first, although they probably have not continued to optimize the demo. I guess I am saying that I have no idea but people have reported that it works OK.

Late to the party...
Not sure if you pulled the trigger on that deal, but I play CK2 on a aging arrandale (i.e. older) i3-350 with intel HD graphics. Between the settings tweaks and mods from here (need a paradox login) it runs fine. It runs a slower on the high game speeds than on my gaming pc (i5-2500k Radeon HD 6870) but it's playable.

As part of the Green Man Gaming Value Pack Weekend, they've thrown down a 30% off code for Gun Monkeys: GMG30-FYBJP-MSOA5

One purchase nets you 2 Steam keys for a whopping $4.20, so you can share the love and/or monkeys.

Anyone want to enable/disable me on Silverfall complete? For $4 on Steam, even "meh" gets a second look. Also, Divinity 2? Worth a $5er?

I loved Divinity 2!! I had so much fun in that game. I played it to completion, clearing as much as I could. And you can dodge fireballs! In my biased opinion it is totally worth $5

I had no idea the entire game was only 25 minutes long if you didn't die!

That's a very big "if".

Huge amount of trial and error in that game, but still very worthwhile. I finally beat it about half a year ago in spite of owning the SNES version for about 20 years now.

There was a PS Vita price-drop. It's down to $199.99. Newegg Walking Dead bundle comes with a $10 giftcard. Includes a digital copy of the Telltale Walking suite with the bonus content 400 days and a 4GB memory card.

Agreed, it's a pretty great RPG

The few hours I put in before getting distracted by something else were pretty good. I was able to get into it quicker than Skyrim or Amalur, though without a scope of the size of the game in general, I got pretty annoyed with high lock-pick skill chests in the first main area. If I knew I'd be back, it wouldn't have bothered me to leave a chest unopened, but not knowing, I tried to spec my lockpick skill early, at the detriment of other, more crucial skills, and I still didn't get it high enough before quests led me elsewhere and I became distracted by the rest of the pile.

I'd say it's easily worth the $5.

Tagging for future.

There are those of us, who never fully adopted the Favorites feature because it's buggy.

By the way, Tagged :D

Favorites has been working for me without bugs for a long time now.

FTFY

I just finished Walking Dead: 400 days, and I have to say its worth it at that price and at its full price. Pick it up! If you enjoyed the original game I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Same. What bugs?

That's $12 @ Newegg still. The reason I know is I keep trying to talk myself out of buying it.

Also, Steam has Far Cry 3 for $20.

Keep wanting that, but for some reason haven't pulled the trigger. Oh, maybe it's my back log.

Don't bother, give in. I hear it vastly improves the game. I got it, just haven't tried it yet.

I'd so love to pick this up. But with our old house not selling after two buyers falling through, rught now I can only spend my steam wallet fund from selling cards. At least I can take comfort in the knowledge that it will just get cheaper later.

I'll get it eventually. Just not sure I'm ready to play a 7+ hour Civ V game at the moment (I play in spurts). I know it will get continually cheaper, so no need to buy it too early.

Who said anything about playing?

+1
I was listening to the soundtrack and had the same revelation.
