When I'm on I usually play in a closed crew session. A bonus of doing that is when I'm done playing jobs I go back to a private zone and not an open session where I can be camped.
All are welcome to join me.

You playing on the PS3?

No... Guess that would helpful info, I am on xbox.

Now THIS is GTA Online! 13 cars battling on top of a skyscraper.

Huh, I seen Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter do that a few weeks ago in a "Things to do in GTA V," It was a pretty fun video but they have fewer people to get up to the top and still only go one round.

I got my first pair of prescription glasses last night, and WOW! The first thing I did was look at my phone. I didn't realize how sexy my iPhone is. Basically, I just upgraded the graphics card on my whole world. I came home, and my son was watching TV, and I just couldn't believe how good the TV looked. Then I realized that I just upgraded the visuals on my Xbox. And my favorite thing to play right now is GTA Online. So I just can't wait to check that out. After my kids are in bed and my wife gets sleepy, it's ON.

I'll be playing tonight from about 10:30 pacific to maybe 4:00 am.

My Xbox gamer tag is Rawk 999 (with a space between k and 9)

I have some work to do, but should be on by 11 pm PST.

Got stuck with a friend on a really, really tricky GTA Online mission last night. One of the Gerald missions, where you have to rescue a guy (who always dies, but doesn't seem to matter), bring a package of drugs (I guess?) out to Gerald's place, then go to gang territory, blow up all their cars, kill all the gang members, then pursue and kill the gang leader. With only one extra life, and no checkpoints. Took about 10 tries, and in the end the gang leader was about to get away but somehow killed himself in a car accident offscreen. I was spectating my friend playing and guiding him on Skype (that high angle camera is useful!) after I died.

Reminds me of an old, bad GTA III / San Andreas mission.

Yeah that is a hard one to do. I've only completed it once out of many tries. Fun though cause i love the shooty jobs!

Hey all - I was not aware of this thread, so I've not been keeping up with it. If you've any issues getting into the crew, shoot me a PM, per the instructions in the original post!

The crew is cross platform; the game is not, meaning that XBLA players won't be able to jump in the same game as PS3 players.

Hey, Rawkinmolie, sorry I couldn't join you last night (this is FreshQu33blets), but I was kind of tired and didn't mean to be on too long (plus I was doing the last heist mission).

I was out of town for a little over a week there--did the Rockstar bribes come through and I missed them?

Not yet. They should be coming any day though.

Wunderbar, good to hear. Thanks

@Papageno

No worries, my friend. I didn't stay on long anyway. Just a few random missions to blow off some steam.

@SpacePPoliceman

I've heard that it will be in installments of $250,00 x 2. I hope that's not true. My greedy ass wants it all RIGHT NOW!

I've been off for about a week, between illness and early-morning work (I'm a musician, that doesn't happen often). But I'm off tomorrow, and feeling better, so I'm jumping back on tonight!

I'll be playing midnight to 3am (Chicago time). Hoping to run into Rawk, Qu33blets (Papageno), Edgar, Brizahd, Chaosmos... Or any other Goodjers!

I've also been busy and sick, so haven't been on for a loooong time. I'll try to jump on tonight as well.

EDIT: Scratch that, I DO have to work late tonight. Someday, someday I will return to Los Santos!

I've yet to be able to successfully join a crew session. Every time I try I get a 'no suitable sessions found' message, which is surprising to me given the 60+ folks in the crew. Or are only ten of us on xBox or something?

I think when you try to join a crew session, you're actually looking for a crew-only session (as opposed to open sessions that happen to contain members of your crew). I could be wrong. I generally find that if I just join sessions normally, I stand a pretty good chance of getting paired up with a crew member. Although I only ever see 3 or 4 online at any given time. Also, if those crew members are on a job, you can't join them either.

Curious: What is everyone's "go-to" vehicle for cruising around doing jobs? I normally break out the Sabre Turbo, which I've armored up a bit and souped up. I need to find a good 4-door that I can soup up to allow more people to ride along.

I'll be online quite a bit this weekend (if the PSN servers cooperate - last Saturday was nearly a bust due to server issues) so keep an eye open for "Morganthaler" online. I'm getting into a lot of missions that need more coordination these last few levels...

Though one-sided, Kid C, the little bit we played was fun. But I do think dirt bikes v fighter jets is more evenly balanced.

IMNICKSON, if you're out there, I wasn't getting into your car because I needed to get mine back from impound--it was the red sports car you stole, I caught up with, and we subsequently died in. So, thanks.

Thanks - I had a lot of fun today - the servers were stable, no problems all day long. I did a LOT of missions, made a ton of GTA$, finally survived a full 10 waves of Survival, and bought a Comet for my getaway car. All in all, very successful. Now, its time for Pizza, beer, and the World Series.

I had a lot of fun playing with you guys (and an Ars Clan person) on Sat. night, but now I have a question about a stock market thing in the single player game (one of the Lester assassination missions):

Spoiler:

So I offed the Vapid guy, then bought the stock, but apparently I bought it a hair too soon and it hadn't quite dropped to its minimum price. Anyway, the price has yet to start climbing, but it's Saturday in the game world, so do the stock markets stay closed till in-game Monday? Also, while messing around post-purchase, I may have reloaded a quicksave to re-attempt a stunt jump. Have I somehow screwed myself?

Awesome stuff, I picked this up last week. The SP portion is already grating on me and I haven't even unlocked Trevor. Don't think I've ever played such a slow burn in a GTA game.

I hope Online fulfils my need for instant gratification a lot better.

Anyone have any idea how to import pics into the crew logo maker? Saw some sons of anarchy crews with the logo from the show.

Inigo Montoya and I met up yesterday. After watching a player that seemed intent on PKing both of us get shot and killed by the LSPD, he stole the ambulance. I rode in the back through a scenic tour of some hills before we found ourselves repeatedly storming the local military base to steal fighter jets. After reconning the base from the nearby mountain, this meant sneaking over the fence, ramming the gate and then climbing over the fence, drawing the patrols away from the airstrip so he could sneak by, him sniping from the nearby hills and drawing the tanks away from the perimeter while I snuck in, and other madness that's hard to put into a narrative. After we'd had enough of that, we found 3 shady looking fellows guarding what looked like an unassuming run-down building off the highway far out of town. Naturally that led to more mayhem as they opened fire on me for trying to talk to then, then drew on the arriving police, and then proceeded to have a 3-way gunfight with passing cars increasingly crashing into the mess. He then capped off the evening by giving me a nice tutorial on how to rob a convenience store (using a get-away helicopter) and how to fence stolen automobiles.

Aw man, I keep on seeing people online, but I don't get many chances to game with people. Albeit that's because I don't get online until WAY late, but c'est la vie.

Also, is this big cash deposit R* has been promising an actual thing or just a red herring, because they've got less than 48 hours to come through on it and I remain surprisingly broke.

Is that an amount per user or across all of us?

Prederick, I'm a night-owl too, my play-time is usually midnight-3am CST (I'm in Chicago). That being said, I don't get online much more than once a week (kids and jobs). Next time I'm on will probably be late Sunday - so if you see JFarside on the Xbox, come join me!

They delayed it to make sure they had locked down all of the network issues before doling it out. But it is still supposed to be happening.

Brizahd - I saw some instructions on importing pics into the logo make over on GTAforums - try a search there, I can't find the link offhand. It was somewhat involved.

I'm yet to see a single crew member (I'm in two crews, one of which is the GWJ crew with 60+ members, one of which is a crew of folks from work) in a session I've joined. Is it because I'm in the UK and you're all playing at my three in the morning? Or have I missed a setting somewhere? Because I'm definitely online and playing at the same time as both Goodjers and workmates.

Just getting deeply bored of playing with pubbies.

Thanks! Got it figured out now. Behold the blue meanies army. Made another crew for fun.

I wonder if it isn't working right cause when I try and join crews sessions it says none found. Only time I have had someone join my closed sessions was thru an invite.

You can go into the settings and see what Crew members (or friends) are online, and you can also actually dial them up on your in-game phone, too. I'm on PSN, so I can't help you much but I will be online a fair amount this weekend, looking to take on some mor complex missions and certainly willing to help folks if they need help finishing off some of their missions. I'm level 47 right now...
