Steam Summer Sale 2013 - It's never really over

How is Trine 2 BTW? Also, is KRZ something that I can wait on until the holiday sale?

Really really pretty!

Trine 2 was really good. Mechanically, it is mostly a refinement of the first one, and some new puzzle types. For $4 you really can't go wrong.

Only two acts are released so far of (five?), so yes.

I couldn't hold back... I bought Kentucky Route Zero... and it's amazing.

Also, a gigantic post sale thank you to LockAndLoad for his code for The Journey Down!

I am tempted about KRZ too. How am I suppose to play all these games? My brain ignores that fact.

As your wallet gently weeps

This reminded me I should add people, so I checked your profile first and immediately noticed the achievement art for Chime. Holy crap is that adorable.

Once I learned that KRZ was for the season pass not just for the first installment (plus the fact I could knock off another $0.50 with my steam wallet, I picked it up, welcome to the pile, I'm an awful human.

Anyone interested in "50% off on the title Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer" Coupon? It expires in 5 days, and this isn't my kind of game.

I am not skimming, I just want to remind you all that you can get KRZ from the publishers site - using the Humble store. You get a DRM free version as well as a Steam key and soundtrack.

I just bought my copy from there (Humble).

And.... 2 days after the Steam Sale ends and I have...oooh....lets say 15 unplayed games sitting in my Steam Library, I drop 20 bones on SolFrorge because OMG-CCG.

My Xbox is sad, I'm sure.

I only played my Xbox recently because I have the Black Ops II season pass.

I´m sitting at work, staring at the screen, contemplating and wishing I was sitting at home, staring at the screen, contemplating what game to fire up.

Sitting and staring is good stuff

Contemplation is very underrated.

Sorry to anyone that got it during the sale but if you missed the sale on the Defiance MMO the base price just went to 9.99 which is about 3.75 less than the steam sale price.

Wow, it's almost like they planned to put it on a huge discount then lower the price from the beginning.... I wonder if sales just haven't been that great.

I suspect it's more that now the first season is over they are dropping the price to bring in people on the fence. This way they can keep the player base up as the fans of the TV show leave until the next season starts. I believe this is a non-monthly sub game so that would be essential.

My Xbox left me a long time ago to hide in the basement. It hates me for neglecting it.

I really want to get Solforge too. Before it releases, for the free bonus packs.

Size of the pile says I shouldn't. But I think I might.

Size of the pile is a pile of LIES! I think SolForge will fix that.

I don't neglect either of my XBoxen. They are great for watching Netflix and Amazon Prime Videos!

15 games.... Hahaha that is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my pile.

Mrtomaytohead's Steam Summer Sale 2013 brought to you by Gamestop's insulting trading prices, even after the added 50% bonus. Otherwise I wouldn't have made any purchases.
I bought this for myself:
Borderlands 2 Mechromancer $3.39
System Shock 2 $2.49
Dust: An Elysian Tale $10.14
A.R.E.S. $2.49
Half Minute Hero: SMNCUB $2.49
Triple Town $3.99
Rogue Legacy $11.99
Strike Suit Zero $2.99

I gifted these games out:
Borderlands 2 Psycho Eldon of Azure $3.39
Castle Crashers Edgar Newt $3.67
Dark Souls Crashedhardrive $7.49
FTL: Faster Than Light FlyingMonkyz $2.49
Portal FlyingMonkyz $0

Total damage ($): $39.97 Spent on myself + $17.04 Gifted = $57.01

I received these gifts:
McPixel Omaha $0.99
Strike Suit Infinity D_Man928 $1.74
Borderlands 2 Psycho Eldon of Azure $3.39
Grid MaverickZY $3.74 - I wish I could get this game to work. It keeps locking up and crashing my system. This and Driver: San Fransisco
Reus Edgar_Newt $4.99 - What I've played so far is quite fun. I love games that dare to simplify your field of activity.
Death Rally Kexx $2.49

Total received: $17.34

Well crap, my formatting is gets auto corrected away.

My crown jewel best steal deal:
So far, Dust. Very nice to look at. But then again, I've been purposefully avoiding loading up Rogue Legacy for fear I will play it too late into the night.

Game I really could have waited until the Holiday Sale to pick up even cheaper:
Rogue Legacy. It was #1 on my wishlist and only had a small discount since it's less than a month old. But the demo was so awesome.

I have no idea why I bought this other than OMG CHEAP:
Triple Town. I got it free on iOS. The concept is fun, but microtransactions suck. PC version removed those. Also System Shock 2. So far, not entirely enjoyable, and I figured it would feel that way.

Wait, dejanzie found someone who still didn't have Civ IV? I've got a free Civ IV too - send me a PM or friend me up on Steam if you want it. And I did in fact buy Civ IV 3 times.

Weird that I hadn't spotted you first!! Glad you rectified that oversight.
Yeah, I love Chime. A LOT. First time I played Free Mode, I played for about an hour without getting tired of it (also because I hadn't figured out that Free Mode meant Infinity Mode).
Worked really hard to get those rare achievements! XD And yes, they are pretty cute.

Yes, Jonman, 15 games on the pile is... tame at best. Ya lightweight.

How true that is.

I have 631 games in my Steam Library, 12 in Origin, 2 in Uplay, well over 100 more in Desura, probably another dozen or so in gog, another hundred or so it GamersGate (thanks to that 1c complete pack a year or two ago) and various things on CD. Some of that's already played, some of it I have no intention of playing, some of it overlaps, but I probably have 400-500 games I'd like to at least try. It doesn't keep me from adding more.

We're still a long way from 11,000 posts
