Video Game Deals Catch-All

Yowza - FarCry 2 for $24.95 at Direct2Drive. That's a pretty sweet deal.

I went by Circuit City today and got Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for PC, 7.50, and Star Ocean: First Departure (PSP) for $20

The games are at half off now, and there's a lot of PC stuff left.

I walked into an EB Games in Canada and they had this deal

120 gb PS3 with Uncharted
Socom Confrontation with official Playstation Blu-tooth headset
Resistance 2

all that for 499$

That's still a lot of money but at least you get a whole lot more for your money than the 399 bundle and you will need that headset anyways. (it's very cool by the way).

Just spotted this deal at Best Buy:
Reward Zone Members can get Mercenaries 2 for the 360 for $9.99 all week.
Might be worth it. It is for me, since I still have my $10.00 coupon. Nothing says lovin' like explosions for free!

Amazon's gold box today seems full of games. The all-day one is Persona 4 for 25 bucks. The lightning deal at the moment is Lego Batman for PS2, $15.

I'm off so I'm gonna keep an eye on it all day.

Persona 4, eh? Hrm... Well, I got bogged down in Persona 3 once I got far enough to spend literally HOURS in the dungeon at a stretch, but I do like it so I'll give this one a shot.

Braid is currently on sale for $10 on XBLA.

I kid you not, they will make you get the total before tax to $10 before they let you use the coupon. I recommend a pack of gum.

On a related note, I picked up Mercs 2 for $9.99 today.

I got Yakuza 2 off Amazon for 15 bucks today.

The normal price is listed at 20, so I guess it wasn't that good a deal. Nonetheless, it was sold out within 30 minutes of being posted, and last I checked it was 40 in game stores.

Oh yes, I am familiar with that particular policy. My girlfriend used this as an excuse to get me to buy Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 for her. And since I spent 20 minutes wandering the store trying to find an acceptable excuse to not have to and struck out, I obliged her.

True love in action!

I jumped on the Saints Row 2 deal as soon as I saw it. Can't pass it up at that price!

Whoa... what a great deal.

Everyone, get this game! It's good!

Xbox 360 120 GB elite for $250.

I know I'm missing something. What's the catch?

Aww.... sh*t. Purchased. Don't expect me to play much multiplayer though! The single player RPG-element version appeals to me more.

It's in the description. They're refurbished units.

Just bit on the TF2 steam sale... Since I've started coming here I've gotten an Xbox 360 & actually bought a steam game - what are you guys doing to me!?

This is a community of filthy, filthy enablers. There should be a sign on the door when you walk in.

The gogamer deal looks great, but appears to be box only?

Is that correct?

If so, no sale. I'm the anti-Lard -- download or nothing, baby!

For Dawn of War II, the box is basically only a delivery system for the product key, which you then give to Steam and everything else works as you would expect with a Steam game.

You can save a little download time by installing from the DVD first.

Okay, since I believe that means re-downloadable from Steam and all I'll do the purchase. I've played all the other games in the series (after going nuts for Company of Heroes and wanting more) so I'll want to try this. Was going to wait longer, but I doubt it will get any cheaper anytime soon...

Yeah I'm spoiled that way too now. I have to wait for the box to arrive and then install it? What a pain in the ass!

Stop installing the box in your ass. It's not necessary and will hurt less.

The load times are so much better, though.

I thought it was "Blake Stone"? And if I remember right, those games were pretty good for a generic shooter. Nostalgia might get the better of me and my wallet....
