Fortune Street (Wii game) is $11 over at newegg. I'd probably be picking it up if I had any money for games based on the feedback from the few people who have actually played it, since they all seem to love it.

I'd pick it up if I had regular access to local gamers. I miss college.

I really enjoy Fortune Street. It's basically Mario Monopoly.

Monopoly isn't as fun when you're playing by yourself. :(

But it does end quickly! ::rimshot::

I love Fortune Street. It's like Monopoly only at a surface level. There are some neat layers of strategy added by the stock market, leveling up, etc.

I've also really enjoyed playing it in single-player against the AI. I think my wife and I are eeking up on 90 hours played since mid-December, which is pretty much unheard of around here. The last game we put that much time into that quickly was Wii Sports.

Highly recommended.

Pay what you want for Krunch, an arcade, side-scrolling obstacle course. You'll be dying alot. Deal lasts for another day.

I just discovered that the Flatout games are 75% off until next week. Can anyone enable me on this? I've loved the first several Burnout games (wasn't a fan of the open-worldiness of Paradise), and this looks like more of the same arcadey, explodey fun.

I don't think Flatout has held up well over time and the 3rd one is flat out junk.

Consolevania liked Flatout, but yeah that game's trash.

(^nsfw rap, not actually 40 min long, takes you right to it)

Flatout 2 is a good game, and Flatout UC is pretty much an evolution on FO2 but with GFWL (I play FO2 most at LANs).

FlatOut 2 (and by extension Ultimate Carnage) was a lot of fun when it first came out. The driving felt great, the destruction was wanton, and I even felt personal animosity towards the named AI drivers. The ragdoll minigames were what they were, but as for an actual racing game, I thought it was ace.

FO3 wasn't made by Bugbear, so phooey to that game.

Couple of of quite meaty sales on some of EA's older games on Origin at the moment (possibly for Valentine's Day?), highlights here include Dragon Age 2 for $10, Dead Space for $4.50 and Dead Space 2 for $6. There's a bunch more discounts that might be be worthwhile in places where they're not starting from silly regional prices.

Should I get the whole pack or just buy Flat Out 2 or Flat Out UC?

UC if you don't have a problem with GFWL, FO2 if you do. I don't remember a massive load of differences between the two, but UC is a bit more modern, doing things like widescreen properly without stretching the UI.

Are you happy with 5,000 destructible objects on each track, or do you require 8,000 destructible objects?

Well, since I already use Xbox Live and have a GFWL account, I opted to purchase UC for 4.99

Did anyone get the message from Amazon:

$10 Off Any Software Download at Amazon.com

There is a code in the e-mail, but I don't know if it is unique to my account.

Cowboom (bestbuy's internet outlet) is having video game flash deals all day. Right now it's a DSi with 'significant scratches or scuffs' for $35.

Anyone else have trouble with the credit cards after buying Indie Royale bundles?

The last 3 times, my card has gotten locked because the transaction goes through Desura in Australia, which Bank of America seems to flag as an issue.

Guess its time to start using PayPal :/

Yes! I've had issues with them and with GreenManGames as well. I've switched to Paypal for GMG to get around the hassle of my bank shutting my card down (and calling my wife / clueing her in that I've been shopping )

I got one, too. I'll send you mine to see if they're the same.

I usually buy Indie Royales on Tuesdays, which mean when I order a ton of food for our weekly gaming group from the local pizza shop later that day, my card gets declined
