Video Game Deals Catch-All

"Content" in this context is pure marketing-speak. A part of me died when the phrase "downloadable content" entered the mainstream. "Expansion" or "expansion pack" was already widely used and sufficient, although I guess that term was for PC games. So I blame the consoletoys, as I always do. =)

CinemACTION!

Thank god that word never took off.

Ummmmm... video game deals, video game deals...

Here's a really stupid one: http://www.amazon.com/Desert-to-Sea-...

"Desert to Sea Bundle" - Spec Ops The Line and both Bioshocks. Wat.

FTL $5 sale again. Steam weekend deal, but also the developer site is matching and if you buy there you get a Steam code anyway.

Yoink!

Somehow I missed this: Imperialism 2 out on GoG. $6 gets you another one of the best games ever made.

Nice! I completely missed this series in my youth, and have been curious about it ever since the Three Moves Ahead folks started raving about it. Is it tough to learn?

And of weak moral character. Possibly the best DLC ever.

Some people don't like Minerva's Den. Those people disgust me.

Never played it. Heck, haven't even played Bioshock.

Spoiler:

I got bettah

Has there ever been a sale on Minerva's Den on PC?

It goes on sale for $5 at the GFWL Microsoft Xbox Marketplace once every few months or so. I was hoping to buy it from GameFly since they're not Microsoft, but I've never seen it on sale there. As far as I know those are the only two places to buy it. You can set up a watch on Follow That Page or a similar service to see when the price changes.

Actually, it looks like it's on sale right now. It somewhat galls me that it costs the same as Bioshock 2 for me, but $5 isn't much to complain about. (And it's never been cheaper.) I'll definitely pick it up once I start and/or finish Bioshock 2.

Edit: Looks like it's due to the 2K sale that ends January 14th.

I had a whole long write-up that answered this question in depth, but decided to go with the TL;DR version: They are tough to learn (although I remember 2 being easier to learn than 1), but worth it if you are interested in really good TBS games. Imperialism is one of the very very few games I ever bought a strategy guide for:

(sorry for the crappy picture). It has been a long time since I played Imperialism 2; I remember it being easier because the UI was slightly better.

King's Bounty: Warriors of the North is on sale for $7.49 at Green Man Gaming. Thought you should know.

Why preorder a game that won't be out until next year?

Yeah! By that time it could be on sale for like 66% or 75% off on Steam.

Not a game, but all Razer merch is on sale at the Razer store. 50% off accessories and 10% off the Razer Blade. Next 24 hours only, many things are already sold out.

We humbly offer you 50% off all Razer Gaming Peripherals and 10% off the Razer Blade on the RazerStore (http://j.mp/T47YWb) for the next 24 hours: 9 a.m. PST, 1/11/13, to 9 a.m. PST, 1/12/13. This offer is good on available products and while supplies last.

Order what you’d like at http://j.mp/T47YWb and just type-in one of these promo codes upon checkout: (Codes will only work at 9 a.m. PST on 1/11/13)
BESTOFCES2013 for 50% off peripherals;
BESTOFCES2013BLADE for 10% off the Razer Blade.

Razer Onza Tournament edition for $30 here I come! The DA2 and BF3 prints are still in stock, plain and ME2 are out of stock.
EDIT: Shipping will be $13! This is no longer a deal

The Darksiders Franchise (Darksiders 1+2 plus all DLC) pack is back in stock at Amazon. Steam keys for $13 and change, but it also qualifies for the $5 editor's choice promo so if you have a credit that drops it to $8.50-ish.

Yeah, I was considering a Mamba, but after shipping and tax it won't be too much cheaper than Amazon would be.

Any enablement for The Journey Down on Steam for $5.59? Very strong Grim Fandango vibe.

A bunch of the guys here at work consolidated orders to cut down on the shipping costs.

Gravity Rush is $19.99 on Amazon. Wish I had a Vita.

@soonerjudd, it's a fair deal that way. I just can't justify buying a controller for $30 then paying $13 for 3-5 business day shipping.

Yes, but are they accurate words?

Separate Steam codes for everything too. So you can give away (or sell I guess) the first Darksiders game since surely everyone in this thread already has it.

you make a good point... There is a free version that isn't all pretty and 3-D, so I guess you could try it.
