Video Game Deals Catch-All

Oops... I didn't want to buy that. Really I was just checking out the deal. I clicked on the checkout button only because I wanted to see what the final amount was. Oh well, looks like I just gave myself an early x-mas present.

:)

I didn't notice this before but Impulse (the new Stardock) has a "weekend sale" going on. I have no idea when it started or when it'll be over, but it looks like they have Space Rangers 2 + expansion for $4. It should show up on the front page.

They also have Gal Civ 2 for $10 and its Dread Lords expansion for $10.

I ordered up Fallout 3 for the PS3 for $45 from Circuit City yesterday.

Bioshock on the PS3 is $45 at Amazon, and I picked that up too.

Awesome, thanks. Picked up a copy for myself and one as a gift.

Left 4 Dead is also $45 ($15 off) at Circuit City for the 360 version. I was hoping the PC version was on sale too but according to the website it is not.

Amazon has the following available today as part of their 15 days of deals in December...

Tom Clancy's EndWar or Far Cry 2 (PS3/360) for $37.98
Last Remnant for $44.98
Alone in the Dark (360/Wii) for $11.98/9.98

Impulse has some smoking deals going right now:

Supreme Commander: $10
GalCiv II: $10
Space Rangers 2 Complete: $4

http://impulsedriven.com/

I'm tempted to pick up Supreme Commander just to have a no-CD version.

Nice skimming.

GoGamer.com is having a sale tomorrow. Some highlights:

  • Grand Theft Auto IV (PC) $34.90
  • Brothers in Arms Hells Highway (360) $14.90
  • STALKER (PC) $7.90
  • Rise of Nations + Expansion (PC) $7.90
  • Jade Empire Special Edition (PC) $4.90
  • Eragon (PC) $0.21

  • I'll bite when they pay the shipping for it too. I do love gogamer.com though. Picked up Lord of the Rings Online for $2.90 and its an incredible game. Its well worth checking them out every week.

Stalker for $7.90 is awesome, but I already have it. Eragon for $0.21 is still too much.

    Ow.

But I did include more of a list. Two more items. My list was 3 times as good. So there. Neener neener.

Project: Aftermath is another game on sale at Impulse, has anyone tried that out? Is it any good?

    Mirror's Edge is £19.99 at Play.com

edit: DAMN IT! Only shipped to UK Plan = foiled.

    I'd like to add:

    • Prince of Persia (the new one, PC) $29.90
    • Nox (PC) $7.90

Nox was a neat little isometric RPG with a crazy fast paced deathmatch mode reminiscent of Bomberman. I never got to fully enjoy it.

Gamestation in the UK has a pretty decent price cut going on; Fallout 3, Banjo, MK vs DC and a bunch of other very recent games going for £20 new.

play.com (UK version) seems to worth checking daily at the moment; things change so fast it's untrue. Saint's Row 2 for £18 new on PS3 last night, last Monday COD5 on 360 was £20, and so on.

Team Fortress Weekend on Steam: $9.99 this weekend. Get it and get on Stan's Lounge!

Gamestop is selling CRACKDOWN for the 360 (used) for $9.99 this week. If you haven't played this game before, it's definitely worth ten bucks.

NOoooooo.... This is why i can't leave the site even for a weekend. Can't believe I missed Space Rangers 2 for 3.99, been wanting to catch that one on sale for a while.

Bestbuy has Ace Combat 6 + Flight Stick Bundles selling for $100.

Any idea how these stack up against the Saitek X-52 setup?

They're roughly the same price, but one comes with Ace Combat 6, which I don't know much about. If the quality is significantly different it would have a big impact on any purchase decision, but I don't know anything about these peripherals.

    Amazon's 15 days, 15 deals today is Wii-centric:

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party: $32
    Ben 10 Alien Force: $19
    Block Party: $25
    Game Party 2: $19
    Wario Land: Shake It!: $40
    Wii Perfect Shot Gun: $9

Anyone have any opinions on Rayman TV Party (as compared to 1 & 2)? I was thinking about picking it for my parents (getting them a Wii for christmas and they enjoyed the first Rayman when they played it).

Amazon has an all day PS3/Blu Ray Gold Box event going, for those of us with the triple in our hizzys.

I just bought Singstar ABBA for $15. Shut up.

Speculation at Cheap Ass Gamer is that Resistance 2 might be coming up at 2:00pm PST.

You may have just faced your Waterloo there, Chuck.

    Ha, you bought Singstar ABBA!

(Can't believe i missed Singstar ABBA at $15, crap.)

Resistance 2 collectors edition for $49.99. That went fast.

Yeah, my wife is a big ABBA fan, and she turned me on to them. I had to change my mind and take a chance.

And now I find out that the Rock Band or Karaoke Rev mic will not work with the Singstar games. I have to get specific Singstar mics. What a load of poo.

Steam has S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for $5 this weekend. Might be time I finally pick it up.

Damn, man, for that price I'd almost buy it again!

    $5? Sold!

Figures, i just bought it in GoGamers last sale for $10.

    Here's a rumor off Slickdeals. 360 120GB HDD for $80.

I'm thinking about picking it up but the more I hear about the developers, the more I get the impression that they make cruelly difficult games that can be quite frustrating. I don't know exactly how that manifests, but I've gotten that impression from a few different sources. Anyone here play the game?
