Guild Wars 2 Guild organization thread.

all caught up on invites

Just added my google doc. birdbirdie.2601.

Hypothetically speaking, if one were to do said PvEing in a quiet WvW for cash, how much money could one make in an hour or so? Would it be enough to buy a character slot in a reasonable amount of days? Also, which WvW area seems the most quiet?

Also would this preclude selling some of the drops on the Trading Post?

When I was in the 60-65 level range I made around 2 gold in a few hours pve-ing in a quiet borderlands (we owned everything in it). I was just running around looking for mobs that had high bonus exp though, not focusing on farming. I was also breaking down all white gear into crafting materials, so if you were to hang out near a place with a merchant and sold everything, you could probably do better. I didn't use the trading post either, and put greens/yellows in the guild bank instead of trying to sell them.

I was looking at the guild roster history 12 hours ago and I noticed that BlackSheep was in a batch that was added to the Guild 3 hours before then. (so around 15 hours ago from now)

Then that same batch was all removed from the Guild 5 minutes after i logged it.

Not sure what happened, but I noticed that the Guild total numbers at that time was at exactly 300 members.
Did we hit the Guild cap? I thought it was 400-500...

Just added Cod to the googledoc...

Yep, we hit the cap. I've just increased it to 400, and will be re-sending those last few invites shortly.

I was downloading the client tonight and I'm going to check this out this weekend.

I just wanted to check, if we've hit the cap on the GWJ guild does that means there's no more room in the guild? I haven't played in a GWJ guild in a while and I was hoping to join you all.

Edit: I signed the doc. If there's still room I'd love to join up with you.

GW2: Deepsea.1475
Character: Deepsee

Yeah, Merphle has increased the cap so you'll be good.

We have over 300 members? Crazy.

doc invites up to date

Posted a thread to try and get us organized for a regular dungeon night. For those interested, please let me know what you think would work for you.

For 300 members we're a really silent bunch..... hardly ever much guild chatter, which bums ME out.

There are a few of us who are rather chatty Cathys, would be nice to have a bit more activity in guild chat, maybe everyone is shy?

I'll admit I'm shy to chat in vent.

And Zembonez, I'm sure there will be plenty playing in November. And a few of the games rough edges will be smoothed off by then too.

oh I know the edges aught to be all smooth and shinny by then. Main thing I'm really interested to get my hands on is the WvW stuff. Makes me think of a giant wintergrasp, and I loved that in WoW...(eventhough my sever rarely did so hot)

Added my name to the Google Doc for an invite...Xhosa.9642. Thanks!

i rarely see anyone in vent. Some folks showed up when we did a dungeon the other night and that's been it.

This is pretty much always the case no matter the game. The percentage of people who want to voice chat with people live while playing a game is very very small.

Aw, I'll always chill in Vent with folks while playing. I just haven't played for a while.

Yeah - I'll jump on Vent when I get to dungeons or PvP with guildies... but otherwise, I'll stick to text chat.

We had big numbers in Vent during the first two weeks and while it's dropped off, I think it just fluctuates with time-of-day.

I almost always fire up Vent when I'm playing. But, if no one is in the GW channel, I just dump out. I guess that I should probably stay on so others may see someone in there and stay too.

My cat decided to chew up the wire on my mic, so the best I can do is listen until I get around to buying a new one.

Thanks, I received the invite and am now representing

lol that's what i do. I'll have to stop as well. I have a hard time noticing chat though in this game for some reason. Invites and messages too. There's seems to be a constant barrage of in game noise going and i never hear the indicators. Especially if i'm doing pvp.

Yeah part of that is that the game is just really good at keeping the player doing things and involved in the action. You just dont pay attention to the chat window when you're engaged.

I've definitely noticed that. Down in the corner of the screen is completely out of any part of the screen I pay active attention to in any MMO. In WoW I had to make full use of the WIM addon to make direct messages pop up, and still had to have my chat window in the lower center of the screen to consistently notice it.

Just submitted my name to the list, hoping for an invite. Tohoya.5786
