NBA Season 2012-13. Draft and off-season 2013.

The Lakers are not a good team. If When they make it as an 8th seed they will be exposed, again, as a bad team. I say that as a lifelong fan. They also get generous whistles, no doubt, but before we get too far into free throw conspiracies let's remove all Dwight Howard free throws from the totals.

It's the Jazz. If past history is any indication, they'll screw it up on their own.

SB Nation has a very moving piece on Chris Copeland of the New York Knicks, written with painstaking and loving detail by a close friend.

That Lakers-Warriors game was insane. Insane in terms of the game itself, insane because Kobe could lose a foot and still try and put in 35 minutes, insane because LOL THE DISPARITY IN FOUL SHOTS.

That said, they're saying Kobe just tore his achilles. Good lord, would I hate to be Mike D'Antoni right now.

That was excellent. Thanks for sharing that.

50 free-throw attempts for the Lakers, 16 for Warriors. Seems legit.

Durant takes tonight off, Carmelo wins scoring title

Also with one day to play, here's the current playoff matchups.

Atlanta got drilled by Toronto falling back to 6th last night. For the Pacers I much prefer the Hawks to the Bulls. Also the Bulls have given Miami some trouble at times, so at least they could make it tougher on them in the conference semis.

Steph Curry needs 2 3's tonight to break Ray Allen's season record.

Nice finish in GS-Den game 1.

I love Dre's rec league style. Loved him in Portland when he scored 50 points without barely jumping.

I'll take six more games just like that one, please. That was fun to watch.

Meanwhile, the Knicks took the first step in their attempt to rid themselves of the Celtics and Paul Pierce. MSG was hoppin' and the Knicks actually played some rather impressive defense in the second half to hold the C's to just 25 points (8 in the 4th quarter).

Didn't stay up to watch the Clips-Grizzlies, but I'm definitely look forward to the OKC-HOU game tonight. I don't think Houston can hang with OKC, but I would love to see James Harden light it up.

Playoffs!

Man, the Thunder wouldn't be nuthin' if we hadn't given them Scotty Brooks!

Only 1 of 7 games within 10 points so far (discounting the Celtics 3 at the buzzer that cut it to 7). Hopefully OKC-Hou gives us something worth watching tonight.

38 all right now, looking good.

56-45 now. Rockets cannot afford to give OKC all these easy turnovers off bad passes and wishful three-point attempts.

Edit: Airball 3 as I was posting.

And 23 points starting the 4th. Guess I can sleep early tonight. :p

Me too.

Nice work Chicago. The playoffs have finally begun, as the first home team lost.

Tie game, 90 seconds left. Glad I stayed up for this one. Mem-LAC was supposed to be a good series, and game 2 is delivering.

EDIT: CP3 for the win.

It was ridiculous. You can't just throw the ball up and have it fall in the basket and win a game like that. It wasn't even fair.

Honestly I thought CP3 was going to blow the game. He had missed 3 or 4 shots in the last 5 min, all on possessions where he dribbled around for 20 seconds and then forced up a shot. It let Memphis cut it from 7 to 5 to 3 to tied... but then he hit a nice jumper off a screen just under a minute to go up 2. And then of course the final shot.

I hate to say this as a Lin fan, but his injury may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the Rockets. Just look at what Beverley is doing!

Pacers looking great. Paul George seems like a man on a mission. Loving our chances right now. I know it's only Atlanta, but they look completely outmatched. I feel like Pacers in 4, 5 at the most right now.

All the shots from the regular season.

Article talks about breakdowns in percentage and some other stuff.

I fear last night was probably the closest the Rockets will get to winning in OKC this playoffs. Still feel positive about the future, and I hope they win some at home and make a series of this.

Home team dominance continues. Chicago and Memphis get it done tonight. Miami wins on the road, but it's only the Bucks.

Patrick Beverley is a punk.

Wow. GS-Den is the series to watch. Games deliver excitement to the end.

And I have no dog in the fight so it's all just entertainment.

Great game. So tired. Definitely worth staying up, though.

There go OKC's chances. Spurs are looking really good, but it is against a injured Lakers team so hard to say how much of it is real.
