NCAA 13 Xbox360 Season III (2-star league) - Week 9 (Spots Available)

Pages

Hello everyone.

After some down time because of people's busy schedules we have rolled forward to Season 2 of the ** League! Right now we have three people returning to play. They are as follows:

Kush15 - Temple
firesloth - Indiana
shag26 - Fresno State

All are welcome to either join back in or have some fun against human opponents with similar interests. We currently have spots open. The only caviat is that you need to select a two star team in the system. I do not have a list right now and I will see if I can come up with a list of schools in the future.

Right now we are in the pre-season where I am working on the schedule while everyone in the league are coming up with a list of recruits to swoon over and have committ.

With all of that said, who wants to have some fun playing NCAA13!

firesloth and kush,

Do you have any request of teams to play that are not in your conference? I may be able to get 2 teams requested, but definitely 1. So let me know the top 3 teams you would like to play against.

SMU and Kansas. This serves 1 of 2 purposes:

A) Entices Jayhawker to come back to play me this season
B) He doesn't come back to play and I stomp his teams to the ground. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Rock
Chalk
Stomp

Yippee!!!

Funny, I sent a message to him recommending he join back in again...let's see if he bites.

I wouldn't mind playing ND. Tough game, but it should be an easy one to schedule since they're independent. If not ND, then someone tough from the Pac 12 or even SEC. Maybe Stanford or South Carolina or Florida. If you feel the need to swap out any bottom dwellers from the Big 10, I'd be okay with that, too.

I am going to give people a couple of days to see if anyone else joins in, but look for Week 1 to come up very quickly guys! There will be a strict policy as far as advancing weeks. With just us 3 it shouldn't be a problem rolling through weeks. I look forward to playing Indiana in the Rose Bowl again.

Hey, you can now redshirt players from the website! Click on rosters, then the redshirt tab next to the View Roster tab.

I'll take SMU and Kansas just to stomp Kush into the ground twice!

Count me in, against my better judgement. But I've bee playing my Kansas dynasty, and I've got the itch again.

BTW, in my fantasy dynasty, ND joins the Big 12. And Kansas came from behind to whip the Irish in South Bend in my last game. Bwahahahaha!!!! I hope Jake Heaps and Justin McCay are as good in real life as they become in the game.

WooHoo! Peer pressure and mind control work!

Damn. I'm already done with my recruiting work... Not going to be as good a year as last season.

I will send you an invite tonight Jayhawker. I am not sure which one is a 2 star school, but please pick the one that is. I will then make sure you play Kush this year!

Cool. I will probably take SMU or another smaller 2* school, since that's what you guys are rolling with. Although Kansas probably does match-up with Indiana or Temple. We'll see.

Regardless, Rock Chalk!

Jayhawker, I sent you the invite. So join in and then we will roll to the season!

Welcome back Jayhawker. Even if we only have us four, I think it's a good league.

I agree and hopefully if we keep this rolling others may want back in!

Screw the others!

(Seriously, this is not serious. It's just an appreciation of the group we have here. All "others" welcome to join us, the cool kids, in the league...)

So, I'm in. With Maryland?

I jumped on last night to join (still the same good password, so I made it in without an invite), but found both SMU and Kansas as three stars now. so I decided to find something completely different.

My first thought was not so completely different, and to try and take Navy an their option offense. But a game with them last night reminded me why I moved on from the option. I love it in a lot of ways, but the game came down to what so many did before. I couldn't run the bal for 3 quarters, got behind and then passed the ball to make a big comeback.

I looked at Iowa State, but decided I didn't want a spread team, either. I started to take UTEP's one back team, but finally decided Maryland was the balance between biog school and 2 stars I was looking for.

I'm assuming I can still get moved wherever I need to go?

And my recruiting and redshirting is done!

Jayhawker – if you really want Kansas or SMU, I say go for them (with final judgement to come from our commish). I suspect most of our schools are at 3* by now, anyway. So, it's not much of a stretch.

If it's cool, then I think I would like to jump back out and then in with Kansas. If it's not, I will take Maryland.

I say go ahead and take either Kansas or SMU. We need a Big12 presence! I will also see if I can change the school for you if you don't do it before me. Then I will work on the schedule. Do you guys want to play each other or just 2 of the 3 people? Just trying to get a feel before I set the schedule and we move to Week 1!

I jumped in and took Kansas. I also wrapped up recruiting and redshirts, so I'm ready to roll.

I think playing three sounds good, but I'm good with whatever.

I nice feature I never knew about if it was there before was I was allowed to reschedule and pick how many human opponents each person played. So the system generated the schedule and I left it as is. What I didn't realize was that Kansas was now part of the Pac12, so Jayhawker and I already had a games scheduled. Everyone is playing everyone at least once. So let's have some fun!

Welcome to Week 1!

Kush,

Let me know when you can play!

Yeah! Awesome to see this off the ground.

And, for the record: bye weeks suck!!

EDIT: Wow, though...my first game is a rematch of my first and last games from last season against Fresno State. Should be fun!

EDIT 2: Done recruiting. Managed to grab a high-60s rated 3* OLB with an instant commit. I'm stretching for recruits a lot more than in the past, trying to grab some of the highly-rated ones.

I was trying not to have that happen, but that's the way it worked out. Next time I will try and have everyone play a computer oppenents their first game of the season just to get in the swing of things.

The good thing is that everyone has their recruiting done. The bad news (somewhat) is that Kush and I can't play until Monday night. We will roll after the game!

As always, if anyone wants to join or rejoin the league, just post a comment or send me a PM.

I don't know what's worse, having a bye week for week 1, or opening my season in week 2 versus #7 Oklahoma. That's a hell of a welcome back to the 2 Star Dynasty.

Welcome to Week 2!

Good game Kush. I am still surprised that the ball went through my safety to your TE. That should have been the game right there. Oh well. Better luch next time.

firesloth. I cannot play tonight because the wife is pissed that I played middle of the evening. Anytime after 10pm works for me most nights.

How about tomorrow? I may have to delay until 11 pm.

Whenever we play, it should be epic as usual.

Temple knocks off Fresno St 27-24 on last second FG. Temple overcame two costly interceptions, including a pick 6 to give Fresno St a 21-10 lead in the 3rd quarter. Temple's next matchup is #8 Notre Dame, sponsored by Preparation-H.

Shag, sorry about the rant on the interceptions. The first one was BS, but the pick 6 was a poorly thrown ball. If anything, your DBs made up for the first one by dropping 2-3 Ints along the way. Very good game, I pray I don't meet you in a bowl game at year's end.
