Euro Truck Simulator 2 catch-all

It just is. Nice long run, some prog rock on the radio....I was trying to sit near enough the window so I can get one arm out on the sill and get a trucker's tan.

;)

That's... that's genius!

Deliveries gotta be delivered, mate!

Wait til you get stuck behind a car transporter on some back round in Slovakia and that 'delivery due' music starts - you'll be pulling manoeuvres that might not be in accordance with the laws of physics.

Change down two gears, pass on blind curves, and say "piss off" to the speed cameras.

What's that? Not kidding... is there actually a sound cue when you get close to the deadline?

I've got no clue, you mangled the quote editing and that was from davet010. I recall hearing chimes when things happen (one of my drivers finishes a delivery, etc), but I'm usually too busy listening to the French pop station or the dubstep station out of Belgium to notice.

Yeah, if you take a time critical job and are within about 2 hours of the final time, the music sort of speeds up and I seem to remember you get some sort of warning about being close to time.

The time that a drive takes is based on an average speed of 38mph. I tend to drive at full tilt as much as poss, so I usually end up with plenty of time to spare.

I've completely lost my mind and added radio streams for Public Radio International, my own local public station (WHYY in Philadelphia) and KQED in San Francisco. If Radio Beat in Czechoslovakia isn't awesome (it's often awesome), I listen to world news and get smarter while playing video games.

The radio is the magic ingredient for me. I think being connected to something actually happening in the real world while I'm engrossed in virtual activities helps me suspend my disbelief in ways I haven't experienced in other games.

Spent my 4th playing ETS2, and only after I quit do I notice the DLC released yesterday.

I don't know but I've added Farm Simulator 2013 and Demolition Company Simulator to my wishlist because of it.

Saw it. Bought it. My truck will probably be firebombed in Germany.

Oh well.

Just photoshop a Canadian maple leaf over the flag. You'll be fine.

Nah, that's separate DLC.

No co-branding with Canadian Tire and/or Tim Horton's, though, so Canadians have to settle for maple leaves and maybe a hockey player.

No, it will be okay; Germany won the match, so there should be no hard feelings. =)

Annnnd I just bought both the US and Canada packs...

SCS is golden.

That's awesome. I have two cities left to visit in the original + Going East, it'll be nice to have a few new routes.

I think it's time to backup my folder and install the Scandinavia mod as well.

Also in the new update:

- Radio station favorites
- Seat adjustment

Heh... other games might call this camera adjustment, but I like their commitment to theme.

Same.

My go-to is a French 80's station that's all the way towards the bottom that I can never remember the call sign for.

I think that's the one I listen to. KDFM or something? Has -Geneve after it?

My favorite station is EKR radio out of the UK.

That sounds about right.

I come for the, Girls Just Want To Have Fun music, but I stay for the hilarious French 80's synth/pop tracks.

KMFDM?

Doin' it again.

Whoa. That's a reference that hasn't crossed my mind in over a decade.

My go to station is a Brussels station. It's fun when they come up with the traffic report and they mention neighbourhoods and streets i recognise.
Everything else is in Flemish so I have no idea what they're saying. I could drive through Brussels and drive right through an accident and not even know!

Now that would be an amazing bit of technology. Scan the radio stations and put in actual traffic issues based on live transmissions.
