Metro: Last Light Кatch-all

Cool, thanks. Basically my plan is to buy the old games on sale today to use that to trigger the sale on the Redux versions, then play them in August or whenever that comes out. Or maybe play Last Light now, then 2033 with the Redux version. Anyway, it's a really complicated way to save about $10, but 'tis the season, right? :P

That was sort of my plan as well, but no dice. They decided to pull the discount for those who own the original games completely upon release, uncool...

Well, that's kind of crappy.

It took me 2 years after I posted I was going to play this on another board, but I finally got around to playing the redux version. Based on the mission list, I'm probably almost half way done. I think my opinions on Last Light is very similar to 2033. The game is high on atmosphere and place, but I just don't find the actual gameplay as good as some other shooters. The story is OK, but the game isn't very story heavy. There have been some interesting characters, but it definitely doesn't seem to be the focal point.

It's one of those games that is good enough to make quitting not a given, but not that great so quitting is on my mind.
