Lou Rawls sings about why you should take your blood pressure medication (1970s)

That movie is the best animated film ever done, and whatever you might think is in second place (I can think of lots of movies that could qualify) isn't even close.

It's been said that brilliance is hitting targets other people can't hit, where genius is hitting targets other people can't see. Spider-Verse maybe went even a step further than that.

And I'm saying that before even being aware of a lot of the small details he's pointing out. I knew that was a doctorate-level animation school contained in a movie, but someone who actually knows comics is getting a lot more out of it than I did. I just knew it looked incredibly cool. He understands why.

Why am I still watching these?! Why do I have favorite teams? Why is this so compelling?

The thing I love most about this video is that she has such a positive attitude about the whole situation, and she is so analytical about people's reasons. Fun to watch.

Well, this happened.

The movie with two of my favorite Will Smith lines in one scene:

"It just be rainin black people in New York."

and

"You see this? Huh? N... Y... P... D... means I will Nock Yo Punk-ass Down!"

Its a team sport.

I can't claim to have gotten every single one of these, but I am like 95%.

Sadly I think I could more easily name three Kardashians than I could three Cardassians. Never was much of a Deep Space Nine fan

The last one was from TNG.

Sean Astin, lovely human being*, describes getting the part of Samwise Gamgee, and goes off on some interesting tangents. I particularly enjoyed the closing comment. From 2 years ago (almost exactly!).

* He wasn't always this chill. After the trilogy wrapped, he cowrote a book about the experience and he came off as a whiny, pretentious ass. I've read comments about the LOTR commentary tracks that he was part of, and apparently he was even worse in those. However, in recent years he seems a lot more centered and less self-centered. For example he was very complementary toward the cast and crew of Stranger Things.

I love him as an actor, but it seems the whole LOTR experience may have temporarily messed with his head.

Finally, I have some vindication for one of my favorite movies as a kid.

I prefer Key & Peele's take.
