Yes, it's February. Yes, it's easily four months early to even start planning one of these things. But by god, i'm going to get things started AHEAD of time this time around. Because we should make plans. Intrepid Museum? Central Park? Ellis Island? The Hustler Club? I don't give a hoot where, but there needs to be one hell of a NY/Metro slap and tickle this year because WE DIDN'T DO IT LAST YEAR AND THAT IS WRONG AND STUPID AND BAD AND POOPY.
My suggestion: My birthday falls on a Saturday this year, so you should all show up that Saturday, help me start getting totally plastered, and then i'll end up at my friend's place in Brooklyn and vomit all over their bathroom.
Since F1 will be 1 year old this July and considerably less fragile, the chances of me attending a NY/Metro S&T are drastically increased.
I'll be monitoring this thread with great interest.

Both now, since I spend 2-4 days a week at that venerable institution that is WNYC, barely making enough money to justify the trip. Hooray!
I don't want to go too soon, but how does the weekend of the 7th sound? That gives us a solid month to plan (and totally isn't because that's my Birthday).

I'm feeling Ribfest, as I am somewhere between REALLY TIRED and TOTALLY OUT OF MONEY. Plus, I don't have to travel as far.
I'm going to be up in the Mountains for RibFest, there's a night time train ride on the old narrow gauge up here on the 21st, and we're going to spend the weekend up at a friend's mountain house. Awesomeness..

Looking at October 9th, which is the long weekend we have always done it on, or the 23rd...waiting for people to post in the thread about what date works best for them, hint hint! Thread is created and being pushed back everyday! Maybe I will go give it a shameless bumpity bump right now.

I'd love to do the Ribfest, but I'm heading upstate into the mountains to chill up there for the weekend, and also for this on the Catskill Mountain Railroad:
