Non-Game iPhone Apps Catch-All

Figure is an electronic music making thingy that's only $1 and a ton of fun. Probably not that useful if you're a professional or whatever, but neat to noodle around with.

My wife is a high school teacher with a 9-day schedule. She is I oolong for a scheduler app that will let her put her schedule in. All the ones I have found so far are either daily, 5-day or weekly. Any help?

What's a 9-day schedule?

They have a 9-day cycle of classes. Monday to friday are days 1-5, the next monday to thursday are days 6-9. The count starts over again on friday with day 1.

Last post has been a while. ANYWAY.....

Whatsapp bought by Facebook and lousy security as it is. So I dumped it.
Still using Viber. But ran into a newer app called Telegram. It seems to have everything I wanted. I just can't figure out why it exists (in other words, how do they make money with it?). Anyway, anyone with experience with this app? Have it installed, just curious

I don't have hands on experience, but the latest episode of Security Now discussed this app's weird approach to security, including the awesomely named Infinite Garble Extension security hash. The show notes are here at the bottom of page 2.

TL/DR: Gibson and the greater security community don't believe it's secure. Also, it's Russian - but then again, it's not owned by Facebook.

In a couple of days, there'll be a full transcript of the show posted here. It's episode #444 GoTo Fail.

Thanks PaladinTom. I love Gibson and how detailed he can be. Will listen to that episode today.

Anybody on Applr? You show to your friends what apps you have, use and recommend.
I like the idea, just don't have that many to follow yet

I made this thread for all non-game apps on iOS.

But...this thread?

Lol. That's incredible.

Figure this is the best thread for this. I have left the Android world and am back on iOS. From my iPhone 4S to HTC One and back has created a glut of contacts. iTunes used to, I think, allow you to edit them directly, but I can't find this feature. I've been searching around but short of downloading an program (to distinguish from "app") like CopyTrans I can't see a way to edit my contacts without tapping for hours.

Is there a utility y'all have used?

On the Mac, contacts sync with your Contacts app. Same for Windows. Now I know that iCloud is the intended way to sync these days, but I *think* iTunes will still sync contacts with these apps as well.

Edit your contacts on icloud.com or gmail.com and then sync them back to your phone?

Yeah, my wife tracked down icloud.com and spent an hour rummaging through the 1,700 contacts the young man ported over. I'll be doing that as well. Thank you for the hint.
