I've been playing my Kansas Dynasty with default All-American sliders for both offense and defense, and it feels pretty fair to me. I'm 2-1, losing 24-21 to Rice, beating LTU 34-31, and beating my FCS school by 14. That's probably better than Kansas will do in real life.
I put gamespeed on normal and use 8 minute quarters, and it feels like I'm getting a fair number of plays. I'm not dead set against Heisman, but it pretty much destroys me. LTU was beating me by 28 points when I quit out when I played an exhibition last week.
Lmfao. I want that guy on my madden team
Fired up my offline Michigan dynasty last night with the 9 minute sliders and Heisman difficulty. I beat CMU 66-24. I think if you shave the quarters down to 7 minutes, it should be a little better.
I also noticed a Draft Class saved file type in the File Management section. Did they bring this back? One of my favorite things to do was upload my guys into Madden so they could live FOREVER
Damn.... Now I have to get madden :p
Cross-posting from the real football thread...
:o
So next year is it.
At least we'll get one final version with playoffs included for next fall.
Maybe... maybe... they'll do some support and patching and keep it running for a couple years.
You read it wrong.
As a result, the NCAA Football 2014 video game will be the last to include the NCAA’s name and logo.
The current game is the last game, and there will not be college football on next gen consoles. It's a bummer, but I always suspected this was coming.
That applies to the NCAA's name and its logo. It's unclear how this affects the other license EA Sports holds, through the College Licensing Company, which is the all-in-one deal that gives the game its access to more than 120 schools' names, symbols, logos, stadia and the like. If EA Sports still has CLC licensing, the game could go forward, just under another name.
Also...
Even if the NCAA won't license the game, nor the College Licensing Company, EA Sports could, conceivably, negotiate with individual schools and their conferences, and college bowl committees, to keep the same symbols, mascots and school names in the game.

Oh yeah, I saw the June 2014 expiration and assumed that meant they could squeeze out one more game. Dammit.
Maybe they will patch playoffs into this year's game then?
It's really not all that bad. They just don't have an exclusive right to use the NCAA logo. They can still make a game and use the team logos. The colleges give permission for that.
Next year, we'll be playing Lee Corso Football 2015.
Not So Fast My Friend 2015?
SEC Football 2015?
They have the money to make it happen. They consider themselves to be the only serious conference in college football anyway. They could probably bankroll the development themselves. Time for the SEC to reach out to Visual Concepts.
Andrew Wilson, head of EA SPORTS, weighs in:
UPDATE ON EA SPORTS AND COLLEGE FOOTBALLBy now, most fans will have heard that EA's licensing agreement with the NCAA is set to expire and that we have agreed to part ways. I'm sure gamers are wondering what this means.
This is simple: EA SPORTS will continue to develop and publish college football games, but we will no longer include the NCAA names and marks. Our relationship with the Collegiate Licensing Company is strong and we are already working on a new game for next generation consoles which will launch next year and feature the college teams, leagues and all the innovation fans expect from EA SPORTS.
We took big creative strides with this year's college game and you’ll see much more in the future. We love college football and look forward to making more games for our fans.
Looks like I am wrong. I figured if the NCAA wanted out that there must not be much money left to make.

I'm kind of shocked. Does the CLC cover every team? My understanding is that the Pac 12, Big 12 and a few bowls would be left out. Are the awards (Heisman, Maxwell, etc.) all licensed individually or as part of the NCAA license? This is about to get really weird, I feel.
Anyone remember the days when people would play these games on PC (not NCAA, but Madden, Live, etc.) and edit the rosters and email them around? I can see having to crowdsource rosters, ratings, etc. as EA will probably have to abandon any reasonable "likeness" of players.
Played another game last night. Michigan vs Notre Dame. Michigan wins 28-24 on a TD pass with 50 seconds left. I'll have to check the final game stats and see how they looked. Notre Dame dominated in plays and time of possession but missed two 40+ yard FGs and threw 2 red zone pics.
I ran the opening kick off back for a TD. That was neat.
I felt like Notre Dame's QB was too accurate for what his skill was. I think he completed around 75% of his passes(threw around 50 times I think). It wasn't Golston, it was the other guy. I was too tired to dive into it last night
NCAA wanted our because of an ongoing law suit. Once that suit gets settled (favorably), I'm betting they come back in the game. Is there going to be a league this year?
I've been running through the drills trying to Gold them all, as each Gold unlocks another card for use in the Ultimate Team Mode. After picking up a Cam Newton and Colin Kaepernick, started in on the shovel pass drill. It unlocked a killer card.
Aaron Hernandez.

I thought they were removing him?
I thought they had in a day one patch. I hope he gets replaced with another good TE, because my team could use one.
I had a triple OT game with UConn last night. Final score was 62-56... I'm starting to think there's something off with my slider set. AI QB's are completing around 80% of their passes while my QB completes around 60-65%, both too high considering I have QB accuracy set at 5 and 15 I believe.
I've been playing in default All-American and I have been getting realistic results from QB's. I 'm not seeing anywhere near those high AI completion percentages, and I'm taking Kansas through a Dynasty, who has a 76 rated defense. It has forced me to think through my defensive playcalling more than ever.
I got 6-2, with upset wins over OU and Texas. I had road losses to Rice and TCU, with TCU beating me by 20. So just when I thought I was on a roll and ready to compete for the Big 12 championship, OSU demolished me 63-10, rolling up 800 yards of offense on me.
My main concerns have been too few penalties and too easy FG's. While I imagine we can up penalties to get to a reasonable number, I'm up in the air on FG's, as I do like more of an incentive to kick FG's instead of going for it on 4th down. I just think accuracy needs to be lowered.
