Fringe Catch-All - You Are My Favorite Thing, Fringe. My Very Favorite Thing.

OK, either Amazon got something really wrong, or I am way confused. End of Season 1/Beginning of Season 2 spoilers:

Spoiler:

So we're in the twin towers with Spock at the end of Season 1. Then I watch what Amazon is calling the first episode of Season 2, and it's like that isn't even a point of interest. Suddenly there's a car accident in NYC, and Olivia is flying through a windshield 20 minutes after her car is hit. WTF? Did Amazon mislabel/skip an episode or something? What happened to mirror-universe NYC? What about Spock?

NSMike: they are in order, and things will be explained.

Not just explained, but explained in that first episode isn't it? Or does it take until the second episode before they clear things up?

Nothing was clear in that first episode. I am just lost. Doubly so, because Amazon's synopsis sounds like the episode I wanted to see and doesn't describe the episode I watched at all.

Your patience will be rewarded. Trust us.

BTW, I think Olivia busting through the windshield is one of the coolest, most surprising stunts I've seen on TV.

Ok, I trust you folks. I just wanted confirmation that things were right... This wouldn't be the first time Amazon screwed up a streaming show if it were wrong, but it sounds like the show is just being what it is.

Miss this show...

I just saw the episode in season 5 where

Spoiler:

NS offs herself to avoid getting read by Windmark. What an awesome character arc for her.

I am still amazed at the level of acting in this show. Have there been any other shows out there where, across the board, all of the actors, except for the guy who plays Pacey Peter, are that good. And even Pacey Peter isn't that bad, he just isn't near the level of the others.

Maybe he just wasn't written into this is for my Emmy reel positions like that a lot, but he seemed more than capable when needed.

Got to thinking about it being Friday, then thought about Fringe...

So I googled "Fringe Friday has a sad" and got the following post as a result from GWJ

Happy(?) final Fringe Friday.

So, while I miss Fringe, I'll just quote my post after the finale aired (and how I feel about the show in general):

Considering watching some episodes soon, since Prime has them (except for S5).

I just watched the last episode last night. Still wrapping my thoughts around it, but what an amazing show.

I started over from the beginning a few days ago.

Charlie was the man.

I've liked that actor in pretty much everything he pops up in.

I still call him Alvarez.

He'll always be a weird mishmash of Charlie Francis and Joe Toye to me.

I've been re-watching from the start on IW, and dropped by to post something very much like this. So,:

It would have been f*cken sweeeeet if Adebisi or Said had shown up on Earth 2.

EDIT: Also, Olivia is cut directly from the Jack Bauer cloth in these early eps, and it rules.

Looks like a S3 marathon on the science channel today and tomorrow. Just tuned in right at the beginning of S3E1, taxi & all

Just watched "Entrada" and now "Marionette" is on...

So good!

Season 5 bloopers

For anyone still paying attention, one of the executive producers from FRINGE is working on Almost Human, and so far, it's been awesome. If you're in need of a creepy/cool/freaky science-y show (sans Gene the cow), you could do a *lot* worse.

Almost Human is another Bad Robot gig, which is JJ Abrams' studio. A lot of the same producers/exec producers.

You'd think I'd be paying attention - apparently, not. Explains a lot, though

You're forgiven. But this is not Fringe level drama. Yet. I think it can get there.

I need to try finish season 5 of this. It just went so far out where the buses don't run I haven't had the motivation to pick it back up.

You should continue watching it. Failing this, start watching it.

Heathens.

Just finished the finale and am reading through S05 comments here. I came to really enjoy it, but that last season....

Well, that's why I'm reading through the thread. I'd like to see some perspectives to save me from my disappointment.

I have, over time, become more and more convinced that people who didn't like season 5 are clearly just crazypants.

That Clock is in this group only strengthens the belief. If it's good or fun there's a roughly 80% chance she hates it.

The opinion echo chamber in my own head is a much happier place than one where people badmouth Fringe, it being one of my most favorite things ever on TV.

So share your concerns - we do recommend spoiler tags, as a "better safe than sorry" method, even though the show has been off air for some time now.

We'd love to discuss it
