Fringe Catch-All - You Are My Favorite Thing, Fringe. My Very Favorite Thing.

It took me a while to not facepalm in wonder how they managed to say that "science" dialogue with a straight face but I was intrigued about the general plot so I stuck with it. Over the second season it finally hit me, my suspension of disbelief was lowered enough to accept everything they said as something plausible, or at least it is in the universe of Fringe. Somewhere in the middle of S2 it became my favourite show to watch. So impressed with how the story arcs went, the character progression and development, the acting - it's rarely to see a show done so well on so many levels. And every time you think you know what's going on, where the plot is heading - BAM!, a surprise. So good.

it became my favourite show to watch.

Yep. Going to miss it greatly in a week.

I just started watching the first season of this on Amazon... does it get better? Because so far it's a procedural with some weird sci-fi and conspiracy elements. It isn't a BAD show, but it doesn't seem like anything to post 49 pages over.

Early season 1 was rough, but by a few episodes into season 2, I feel like it really started to hit it's stride. The middle of season 1 is where I first started watching, and that's probably been good for me - I've gone back and re-watched earlier seasons, and yeah, still fully in FRINGE love.

Nope, it stays sh*tty. Don't bother.

Got it. Thanks.

Olivia's "I am an anomaly" speech, a fan compilation that will remind you of the awesome places this show has gone. This is a season 5 item, so... spoilers

Seriously going to miss this show.

For me, it was when I watched the second season, my sister and brother in law were mithering me to watch it, and I put it off for ages. Then I watched the first season and like you, thought it wasn't bad but "meh". Then when I watched the season finale and the start of the second season, I've possibly never been so excited to watch a TV series before, I literally watched the entire second season over 1 weekend and straight into Season 3.

My rule of thumb for any TV show is - if you watch the entire first season and still don't like it then chances are, you won't. But I always watch all of the first season to give it a fair chance. I've got into allot of TV shows I wouldn't have thought I'd like that way.

Olivia's "She wasn't me - I don't know how you couldn't see that" scene. This is a season 3 item, so... spoilers warning.

This is so bittersweet. I have watched this series since the pilot, and is the only show in a loooong time that I have formed an emotional connection with. I love the characters, and want them to succeed. I want to know that the story ends well for them.

Yet, I do not want the story to end.

What a ride.

Oh, and I didn't see this posted anywhere in this thread; they are publishing September's Notebook Amazon link through GWJ
I pre-ordered a book... weird.

I can't even talk about today's video (and the rest I have lined up) without saying: MAJOR THPOILERS!

Do not proceed if you don't want major plot points and show events spoiled from Season 4 and on.

This really is when Fringe is at its best, when it starts exposing the personal prices they pay.

So there is a spoilery trailer for the 2 hour finale, it's 2 minutes long but man - it's exciting

Like, seriously, spoilers for what is to come - not sure how I feel except super squeed. If they put *all that* in the trailer, then what else is to come? I can only swoon thinking about it...

There is also the 23 second preview from the end of he previous episode.

Happy FRINGE Friday - Series Finale

The final video I have is called, "Olivia's Pain (a compilation)".

Happy(?) final Fringe Friday.

IMAGE(http://almostdumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/i-has-a-sad.jpg)

We get a finale to a series that was potentially not going to get a 5th season?

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/nyHTc.gif)

I has sad here, too.

Probably watch tonight live with all the ugly commercials. Can't wait for DVR like usual.

Maybe we should hop in GWJ IRC or something? This is going to be sad.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... I having been waiting for this day in anticipation, but now that it has arrived, I realize no more Fringe...

Just a reminder, it starts at 8pm tonight instead of the usual 9pm. source

I will be watching this on my DVR tomorrow, as I have from day 1.
What a great run.

Thank you!!! My dad has decided to take a 4 hour drive and visit my family tonight, so I now have to wait until tomorrow to watch and have to set-up the PVR.

Good intro:

Spoiler:

Suck on that, Windmark.

Gonna miss this fantastic show.

Don't want to spoil anything, just remember: keep your tissues close *sniffle*

Well, that was pretty great. The favorite thought I had:

Spoiler:

"She cortexifaned the sh*t out of him!"

TV is a much darker place for me now. I'm not sure how long it'll be until someone tries something as audaciously weird as Fringe again. The Following looks like...something...there's some...word or phrase that perfectly encapsulates what I'm looking for...just on the tip of my tongue...

I think that was the best series finale I've seen in my tv watching years.
