Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Catch-all

Welp, I picked a bad time to try Hearthstone again for once in quite some time. Rank 10 and running into *incredible* decks. Yikes!

I took like 4 expansions off and went back a few weeks before the new one dropped... it def convinced me to drop the money on the 60 card pack just to have decent cards to use. I floated up to bronze 4 before just stopping dead against deck after deck w cards simply better than the core what i had to use.

Has anyone tried the Mercenaries mode? I like the concept, but I'm finding it a little clunky. It feels like too many characters come at you very quickly and you get this constant dribble of points to apply to them, without a real sense of progression. Anyone else having a different experience?

Same experience here. Too many characters and a lot of grinding.

Mercenaries is a complete whiff, IMO. Disappointing.

Yeah, I find myself really wanting to like it, but in its current form it's just well, boring. Especially in a world where games like Slay the Spire and Monster Train exist. They either left a lot on the table, or you just have to spend too much time or money to get to a point where the combat is all that interesting. I'll never know.

I’m liking it so far. Progression is satisfying and combat gets more interesting as you get higher level, but I think I naturally enjoy a certain amount of grind so maybe that account for it.

This also reminds me I should fire up StS again and also try out monster train
