I got the Kamasi Washington's Heaven and Earth. It's pretty rad. I'm also really enjoying Japanese Breakfast's Soft Sounds from Another Planet. It hadn't grabbed me last year, but I bought it and the previous EP on vinyl after hearing the soundtrack to Sable:
That album really grows on you. The other vinyl I got recently was Snail Mail's Lush which is also a great album, and that came out this year.
Kamasi not really my thing, too much modern jazz, even if like some gypsy jazz guitar for example. But I have noticed Japanese Breakfast because of that trailer too, just forgot to check them out more later. Thanks for reminding me. Will check Snail Mail too.
As for me, I have not bought anything. My next is probably going to be this vinyl of De Blob 2 soundtrack. I need that in my collection

Lame times. The music shop just off my college campus, where I spent a great deal of time after class and acquired 90% of my punk collection has been thrown out of their building. They have other locations and a robust website, but still. My last purchase there:

Been waiting for this years! They announced it forever ago. I was originally given a burned, pirated copy of this album. Now I have the regular and special version on vinyl along with a legit CD copy.
It's a NieR vinyl Saturday! Listened to the whole boxed set and want more.
Cleaned up a Time/Life Benny Goodman best of, and it sounds great! We got it from my partner's dad, and the discs were unsleeved and had some mold growing on them. After a cleaning, though, the sound is very good! Probably have hardly ever been played. Missing Moonglow for some reason. I have that song in a different best of.

Ooooooooo! My stylus is probably due for replacement at this point, but it's one of those things you can't really notice until you do it.
It's record store day 2023! Haven't been to one in awhile. Am waiting in line here at the new local store.
