Steam Winter Sale 2012 - Seriously Guys, It Was Over Two Months Ago! Move Along!

Compared to some of the other people here, I'm not sure if this is good or bad...

Thanks to Cragmyre for They Bleed Pixels Collector's Edition. This game looks hard.

Just throwing this out there .. I want to pay an unexpected gift forward to someone before the sale ends! I tried to invite a couple of people from this thread but got no response. So if you are still waiting for someone to throw you a gift, or you just like herrings, friend me up

http://steamcommunity.com/id/redherr...

Edit: now I have two gifts to pay forward, thanks mortalgroove for Prince of Persia!

I have a number of the people in this thread on my steam friends list. However; please feel free to add me as well. I would like to gift a couple more games before the sale ends.

Thank you, Redherring, for Skyrim Hearthfire! More reasons to play the game!

Many thanks to Dr_Awkward for the gift of Atom Zombie Smasher. You sir shall be the first person saved.

First one to use it gets it. Everyone else can just pirate it like you do every movie.

Snagged! yay, heard a lot of good things about the movie, looking forward to watching it. Kudos, lord Baron!

This has been the busiest day for me so far, purchasing-wise. Grabbed 2 Assassin's Creed titled (II and Brotherhood), the Gods and Kings DLC for Civ5 (via GMG), and a couple of gifts to unsuspecting goodjers. I'll have to see if I can resist the lure of Skyrim's DLC tomorrow - any enabling/disabling, mainly with regards to Dawnguard?

Also available on Netflix streaming.

Sorry for the back to back posts, but I just learned that Eleima has gifted me with Witcher 2 and I wanted to thank her properly. Thank you very much, my new year's resolution is definitely going to be to work on my pile and enjoy all the gifts I've been given!!

You're welcome, I love the Witcher franchise, so this was a great opportunity to show support for CDProjekt. Good luck with the pile! Join the club, we have t-shirts! (okay, not really)

Dear Goodjer,
I admit it. I know it, and apparently you know it too.
Yes: I did have a few a beers last night.
Yes: I loaded up Steam and drunkenly oggled the shiny things.
Yes: I added Secret of the Magic Crystals to my wishlist...
Now in my defence, I removed it again within minutes. Nobody should have seen it. Nobody should have known.
But you saw it, and now I'm Sparkleponied.
Thank you. Thank you very much.
Your "friend",
Jarpy.

Not only did I see it, but I have the screen capture to prove it! (Because when I didn't see it on your wishlist, I did a doubletake on my phone to make sure I was awake. ) If you're still talking after having played it for 5 mins, I'll be relieved.

Malor wrote:

You're probably going to find out that Eleima sent it to you randomly, so your confession was for naught, and you still have sparkleponies.

Nope, no randomness here, I knew exactly what I was doing. Yes, I know, that makes me kinda evil!

Sooooo the new sales are up, and I can't really see anything that truly entices me. I'm not sure if that's a testament to the monstrosity that has become my pile, or my self-restraint (probably the former if the past is any indication). I might let myself get tempted by Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword, but I already spent over 250 hours on Warband, so that might not be such a good idea... Or I could just gift a third copy of Orcs Must Die.

Edit: I just realized I went a little overboard on the smileys and exclamation marks. Sorry about that.

Don't worry about it !!!!!!

Dammit dammit dammit, the 25% off Far Cry 3 sale is exactly what I was waiting for but I don't know if I can afford it because of my stupid car battery dying this week. Stupid cars keeping me from awesome video games. Time to break out my budget speadsheet and juggle...

Sometimes I get excited.

A very heartfelt thank you to Superjars who very clearly does not want me to finish my pile and added Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword.
Thank you very, very much, I know I'll enjoy this just as much as I did Mount & Blade: Warband!!

Finally Farcry on sale! Only game I was waiting for.

Far Cry 3, 25% off! Woo!

Looks about right. Dunno how Spiral Knights got in my top 5.

Tamron - thank you very much for Trine 2 - hope you don't mind if I finish Trine 1 before I play it

Yeah, sigh, I can't afford Anno 2070 due to the holidays being more expensive than I anticipated (I spoil the girlfriend and her family if I can), so I feel your pain, Parallax...

Yeah, suprised to see it in mine too. Guess that game was more of a time sink than we thought.

I really feel like we should be making a "Steam Analysis" thread at this point or something. :p

OMG THANK YOU KREV FOR THE GIFT OF ANNO 2070!!! YAY! I wasn't asking for it or anything, just lamenting, but OMGOMG THANK YOU!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Numfar, do the Dance of Joy!

Your generosity this sale just called to be rewarded! I hope you have a blast playing it!

Many thanks to Mateofalcone for the return gift of Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic! And turn based so I can play at 4am with a fussy baby in my lap? Awesome!

Why oh why did I think it was a good idea to have steam notify me everytime a game on my wish list goes on sale. Why oh why

So we all voted for Quake? Right? RIGHT? I mean, come on, it's Quake!

I knew nothing about Doom 3: BFG Edition before today.

I played the hell out of Doom 1&2 in their day, but I never did get around to playing Doom3. My computer at the time it came out couldn't handle it. And although I've since bought it cheap during a previous Steam sale, Doom 3 sits untouched on my pile.

Are the new improvements and a "lost" chapter worth $15 and another look at the game?

Haven't played it myself, but it looks like PC gamers should stick to Doom 3 + mods.

Just as long as you finish both before Trine 3 goes on some Steam sale

Good to know. Thanks. Avoiding for now.

Thanks to tanstaafl for his gift of Prototype!

I shall absorb the memory of others in your name.

Now, I'm debating.. Secret World or Anno 2070 for myself.

I think I bought 3 games on Gog to cover for disks I had, the the season Pass for Borderlands2, and the remaining Dlcs for Port Royale 3 I was missing.

and 14 goodjers received some gifts from me to far. It's a nice sale.

You can get at GMG with 30% coupon for $10.50. And you can still mod it.
