Steam Winter Sale 2012 - Seriously Guys, It Was Over Two Months Ago! Move Along!

Friend request sent from me as well. Not to receive a gift, but because GWJ. Also because there is a game on your wishlist that you really should experience. :)

Sixtheth...even with a pile as big as mine, I still get gifts, and I thank everyone for them. My signature, as I've said before, definitely reflects me, the next shiny thing I love to play. I really love this time of year because I have more fun giving, than getting ( though I always appreciate every one for their gifts ).

Every year I make new friends, and feel closer, and closer, to this wonderful community.

I donated to this site this year, and will for many years to come. I'm glad I was able to learn of all of you, and I know this is where I shall stay!!

Thanks again!!!!

Sorry for the back to back posts, but I just learned that Eleima has gifted me with Witcher 2 and I wanted to thank her properly. Thank you very much, my new year's resolution is definitely going to be to work on my pile and enjoy all the gifts I've been given!!

I think it's awesome that Redherring had 5 Steam friends when he posted, and now he has 25. We rule!

Twentyfirstest by my count .. thanks everyone! yes I am scrutinising wishlists although some of you must be very difficult to buy for

I'm just going to stop counting and say "Add me to the thankful."

I'm still overwhelmed by the summer event! The people here are awesome.

Truer words were never spoken.

Seeing now Ticket to Ride DLC is on discount but it actually works out cheaper if I buy the complete pack. I already have the main game and Europe DLC, does anyone know if these will be giftable if I purchase the pack?

Bump^ and also would like to know if the DLC maps are actually worth it.

I'm pretty sure they won't be giftable.

Indeed. And apparently someone beat me to the punch regarding gifting him Beat Hazard (the game I was referring to), unless he bought it himself. No matter how you got the game, it's definitely worth playing.

Many thanks to the Great and Powerful Vega for the gift of "The Witcher 2"!

Much appreciated. Now if only I could get through more than 1 hour of the first one.......

Honestly, don't bother playing the Witcher 1. Witcher 2 is such a better game. If you want, read/watch the plot from the Witcher 1, then play 2.

Looking forward to it, thanks to Malor .. not helping my gifting cause though

The Witcher is a fantastic game. It's just that The Witcher 2 is so much more fantastically fantastic that it eclipses its predecessor.

Ever time I see StaggerLee's avatar I always think it's Dejobaan Games's Ichiro Lambe. =)

Many thanks to NSMike for the gift of Chaos on Deponia! These games look absolutely adorable, and I'm a sucker for a good Lucasarts-style adventure game.

Thanks for the Witcher advice Staggerlee and Archangel. Glad to know I can get by in the 2nd without _needing_ the first!

Happy with my purchases!

Bought for me:

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
Deponia
Chaos on Deponia

Gifted to others:

Civilization V
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

Gifts Received:
FTL (SilentSod)

So that's me done I think. Maybe. Don't know yet

Big thanks to SilentSod for FTL. I was happy to remain ungifted, but I do appreciated the gift.

Maq is a scolar and a gent, even if he made disparaging comments about my wife as he gifted me Witcher 2

That your mind went to "wife" after I said "witch" is very interesting.

Tell me about your muhzzer.

Thirded!

...umm "fourthed"? ..."quad'ed"?

EDIT: I am a trigger-happy filthy pre-skimmer. Let's try "dodecahexa'd" then!

--An open letter to Eleima--

Dear Goodjer,

I admit it. I know it, and apparently you know it too.

Yes: I did have a few a beers last night.
Yes: I loaded up Steam and drunkenly oggled the shiny things.
Yes: I added Secret of the Magic Crystals to my wishlist...

Now in my defence, I removed it again within minutes. Nobody should have seen it. Nobody should have known.

But you saw it, and now I'm Sparkleponied.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Your "friend",
Jarpy.

Friendly reminder: Civ V Gods and Kings 85% off on GMG later today (Sunday). Use GMG30-DPLIM-DN831 for an extra 30% off. Activates on Steam, naturally. I originally said it's GMT, but it looks like the US site keeps US hours.

Also: Atom Zombie Smasher proves that everything is better with Hawaiian surf guitar music. From the maker of Thirty Flights of Loving and Flotilla.

Boy, you know we're a pretty harmless group when that's what qualifies as drunken revelry.

You're probably going to find out that Eleima sent it to you randomly, so your confession was for naught, and you still have sparkleponies.

Civ V Gods and Kings 85% off on GMG later today (Sunday).

I bought this for $10 a few days ago, and it's really a lot better than the base game. They've fixed most of the stupidities in base Civ 5, and I'm no longer sure that Civ 4 is the better game.

Oh no. She made it perfectly clear that I have only myself to blame, and that I am now tagged as "it".

With the 85% off then the further 30% off, that brings it down to $3.14. Now, I'm sorry, but F$%# me that's a bargain. It's also my favourite number.

Mmmm, pie.

Last of the flash sales?:

IMAGE(http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/332/flashsales.jpg)

6 days remaining on the new deals.. Surely not!

A very special thank you to peedmyself for the gift of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas!

OK, well, I grabbed two copies of the Bioshock pack on Amazon for $5, only to discover that they don't register on Steam. I'll be happy to give them to any non-Coffee Grinders who are interested (and these are great games!), but we'll have to figure out how to get the code and download into your hot little hands.

Once I know who's getting them, then we'll figure out the logistics.

A big thanks to my buddy bighoppa for some awesome spacey GalCiv games! I will bombard a planet in your name
